Amazon Basics Clear Bubble Umbrella - City

This umbrella is very cute. Its big enough for one person. The metal frame seems quite sturdy so I think it will hold up well in the rain. I have yet to get a really windy day so Im not sure how well it will hold up against the wind but this style of umbrella generally does very well in the wind compared to the regular style.

Oh what a pretty umbrella was what my wife said when I opened the box. It is good looking (for an umbrella) with bright colors for a dark, rainy day. It opens quickly with the touch of a button to its full 35 inch size. It closes easily. It seems well made, the ribs are some kind of plastic or fiber glass but dont seem flimsy. The umbrella skin is a transparent plastic. Time will tell how well it holds up under use. I havent tested it under windy, rainy conditions yet but if appearances matter it looks like it will do ok.

I used to for prom. It was sturdy and did not give me any problems. Also easy to open and close.

I love this umbrella. I always used the regular solid color. I thought I try the clear round. What a difference you cant see out of it and it wont flip up with the wind like others.

This is a fun, but also really functional, umbrella. The pattern, as you can hopefully see in the included pictures, is fun and colorful. What makes it a winner in my book, however, is the fact that you can see through the umbrella itself. If you have never used a clear, vinyl umbrella you may not realize how much easier and safer they make walking in stormy weather. Instead of walking blindly or peering out into the rain by craning your neck and tilting your umbrella, this one gives you great visibility and light, while keeping you dry. If there was one complaint I would make about this umbrella, it would be that I wish it was sturdier. While it is made well enough to meet the needs of most people, if you plan to use this a lot or are rough on stuff in general (which I confess I am), then you might want to hold out of a more heavy duty example. Other than that, this is great. Not only is it cute as button, but it genuinely does make a walk in bad weather significantly easier than umbrellas lacking its see through design.

This is the most popular umbrella in Japan. Why? Its been perfected. You can see through the plastic and shaped so it doesnt invert with a gust of wind. Its difficult to bring them back to the US because of the odd size. About 3 x more expensive here, though totally worth it.

I love it and it’s adorable

This bubble umbrella is fine and works well, and really does deserve the basic name. It has a nice automatic open feature and is easy to close. The entire umbrella is very light weight and the plastic handle is a nice large hook as one would expect from a bubble umbrella. The clear material on the canopy is a bit thin, but it does the job at keeping the water off. The canopy does come down like a bubble, but not really as far down as I would say a true bubble umbrella is, especially in that the canopy ends before it gets vertical. But for the price it is quite nice and inexpensive way to get that bubble umbrella look.
