Amazonbasics never fail, I purchased this for my WD drive and it was very inexpensive and rather high quality. I have also used these for GPS and they work well for travel and car use as well.

This is a well made, sturdy case that fits the WD My Passport with a mesh pocket with enough room for the cable and even a couple extra cables or flash drives.

Case is firm, but not hard. It will flex if enough pressure is applied. Also, the bullets say max dimensions 5.39 x 3.54 x 0.59. I tried using this with a drive that is exactly 5.0 x 3.25 x 0.4 and it didnt fit. While the thickness looks accurate, the other dimensions are not, because of the rounded corners. You might be able to put an object that fits the max of one of those dimensions, but youd lose about 0.5 on the other dimension.

It is compact and the case exterior is solid but soft,too I will be storing my hotspot with accs. inside. Very convient.

Does exactly what I need it to do -- which is to keep my external storage device safe from harm. This is not meant to be a water-proof case. If you want something like that you need a water-proof hard case (kind of like a Pelican case).
