Amazon Basics External Hard Drive Portable Carrying Case

Ordered it to protect my HD from injury and this case does what it says. Since its from Amazonbasics, it also came a bit cheaper but with quality material.

Easy to use

Just what I expected and needed for my hard drive.

Case is firm, but not hard. It will flex if enough pressure is applied. Also, the bullets say max dimensions 5.39 x 3.54 x 0.59. I tried using this with a drive that is exactly 5.0 x 3.25 x 0.4 and it didnt fit. While the thickness looks accurate, the other dimensions are not, because of the rounded corners. You might be able to put an object that fits the max of one of those dimensions, but youd lose about 0.5 on the other dimension.

I was on the fence about buying this but I am really glad I did. It was an impulsive add on, but it works so well to protect the hard drve anf keep the cord with it I cant imagine not having it with my drive. I dropped the hard drive a couple times inside this case, usually by knocking it of the desk or lab bench, and never had any damage to the. It hold up great in a backpack for daily carrying also.

I love this case from AmazonBasics. The WD passport fits like a glove, with the cable nicely wrapped on the other side. The case is quite sturdy and feels more like a hard case. It will protect your HD just fine.

I only have one problem with the case I wish it had more cushion material just in case it were dropped so prevent any damage. Maybe it does already but sometimes also feeling it is safe is good also.

I bought it as a protective accessory for my laptop hard drive. Protects sensitive areas of the laptop hard drive, but its setting is not perfect.

Nice, affordable case that I used with the Toshiba Canvio portable hard drive. It also was able to hold the canvio USB cord as well as an external card reader I own.

I purchased the AmazonBasics Hard Carrying Case when I ordered the WD My Passport Ultra 1TB Portable External Hard Drive. It protects it well without being too bulky plus has the internal strap to make sure it doesnt move around when I travel.
