Amazon Basics External Hard Drive Portable Carrying Case

Purchased 2 cases, one of them was dirty and had food/beverage stains inside the case. I assume that someone purchased this particular case, had a lunch with it and sent it back to Amazon, then Amazon put it back in its inventory and sold it to some other customer. Case itself is not hard enough to withstand an impact in case if it falls with a drive inside. I guess it all comes down to one thing, you get what you paid for.

I got this to go with WD My Passport 2TB Portable External USB 3.0 Hard Drive Storage Black (WDBY8L0020BBK-NESN) which I also got on Amazon. The drive fits perfectly and the case gives good support. It wont protect it from something very heavy pressing on it. Its not a hard case in that sense. Its got a stiff structure and will do the job. If you need something that will keep the drive from being crushed if stepped on or if something heavy falls on it, youll need something else. If you play guitar or some other stringed instrument, this would be more analogous to a stiff gig bag than a hardshell case.

I bought it because it was cheap and knew I could use it for something if it wasnt the proper size. I use it to put the one serving juice mixes in that you add to water.

Great product and convenient for packing most small electronic travel accessories. Packaging arrived in flawless condition. If all AB (Amazon Basics) products arrived like this and was manufacturered similar, I would look for more AB products.

Very good case with sturdy build. Reminds me of case logic products for slightly less ($5.89). I have three portable hard drives, 2 Toshibas and 1 HP and they fit perfectly and satisfied with purchase!
