> 3 dayI own various brands of smart plugs but none were as simple to setup as this one. The waterproof rating is important because I’m using it outdoors with no shelter from the weather.

> 3 dayThis was so easy to use, just plugged in and Alexa saw it right away. I was happy to turn my outdoor Christmas lights on and off without going out in the cold. I bought another brand previously but returned it because it did not work with Alexa even though the package said it did.

> 3 daySuper easy to setup and use. I currently use it to turn on and off my outdoor water fountain. Nice that it is has a 2nd separate plug should I want to control something else outside using Alexa. Highly recommended.

21-11-2024I have a bunch of indoor plugs from different brands that work with Alexa but I was missing one for outside so I was really excited to try this Amazon Basic Outdoor Smart Plug. I use it to control my lights and inflatables outside during different times of the year (Halloween, Christmas, etc). Initial setup was easy, following the enclosed instructions and using the Alexa app on my iPhone. It did take longer than normal for the App to recognize it compared to my previous experiences with other Smart Plugs, but after a while it connected successfully. My biggest issues were after the initial setup. The Plug has 2 outlets and for some reason the Alexa app stopped being able to control 1 of them, telling me it was unresponsive! Since 99% of the times I use the Alexa app to control the plug it became very annoying. I searched for a solution online and ended up having to remove it from the App, resetting the plug itself to its initial state and than added it to the Alexa app again. It seems to have solve to issue for now but it was still more troublesome than any other Smart Plug I had tried before. Ive been using it for a few months now; during the Summer with lots of Sun and heat and more recently with colder temperatures and rain and it has been working fine.

> 3 dayi have several of the Amazon Basics alexa smart plugs in the house, and felt like this would be a cool addition for my porch. It basically would never setup in the alexa app, even after factory reseting it twice and looking for it manually ( vs the included qr code.) i ended up useing one of my basics power strips on the porch to run my lights. Womp womp.

> 3 dayWe have a heated water bowl for birds that we put out in the wintertime. This plug is going to work perfect to remotely turn the heat on/off. The plug is sturdy and looks sleek. It has two, three-prong outlets that point downward to prevent rain from getting in. The set up was extremely easy. You just open the Alexa app, add a new device, select plug and then turn on your Bluetooth. It took 2 minutes. Great product and I highly recommend getting it.

Greater than one weekPreviously purchased a different outdoor plug from 3rd party thru Amazon. That app never linked to Alexa & plug didnt work as described so returned it. This outdoor plug has 2 outlets. Both can be controlled separately thru Alexa. Setup was less than 5minutes. So glad I bought this one! No more going outside to unplug holiday decorations! Woohoo!
