> 24 hourI have had very good results with this Amcrest 8-port POE switch in many of my camera surveillance systems for my customers. With larger camera networks, this allows for local power supply and LAN interface with the main NVR controller. I would highly recommend this switch and other variants produced by Amcrest. My customers are very satisfied with the performance at just the right price point.

> 24 hourThis Amcrest PoE switch was purchased to replace another brand PoE switch that I was having issues with. The previous switch had 3 PoE cameras connected and one camera would often have connection and/or power issues. Even after replacing the camera, the issues persisted leading me to believe it was the PoE switch and not the camera. I now have this new switch set up with the 3 PoE cameras that were previously connected to the old switch PLUS one additional camera (a new Amcrest 8K PoE camera) for a total of 4 and I have encountered no problems and all cameras are now working perfectly. I have the new Amcrest 8K PoE camera connected to port one on the Amcrest PoE switch. Port 1 on the switch supports Hi-PoE which provides up to 60w. Ports 2-8 are PoE+ (802.3at) and will provide up to 30w of power to each port. The switch can provide up to 96w total. The switch easy to set up, pretty much just plug and play. When PoE devices are connected the switch automatically recognizes them as PoE. Likewise, you can plug in non-PoE devices and they will work just fine and power will not be sent which could potentially damage a device. As far as network speed, right now all cameras are connected at full 1000Mbps and there are no noticeable bottlenecks or speed issues. All cameras are used with SecuritySpy software and SecuritySpy is able to find and connect to all the cameras on the network that are connected to this switch with no issues. Id definitely recommend this PoE switch which will help future proof your PoE home setup with the 96w power total plus the support of Hi-PoE. I compared this to a few other brands such as TP-Link and Netgear and both of those brands were more expensive and had less features such as only 4 PoE ports or 53w or 64w Max (instead of 96w) and no Hi-PoE support. Overall very happy with this Amcrest PoE switch and would definitely recommend it for use with Amcrest (or other) PoE cameras.

> 24 hourReceived this switch to power 5 amcrest cameras I have. It works well and do not notice any issues with speed or power. Only complaint I have is that it will not power my POE TP-Link access point that my old POE switch would, but it works great on the cameras.

> 24 hourOrdered the Amcrest 8-Port POE Switch to accompany my recent Amcrest 4k AI POE Camera purchase. The package arrived quickly and came in a nice box. Inside the box was the switch, power cord, mounting screws, and instruction manual. Switch was packaged really well and safely inside. I really liked how plug and play the switch was to my existing network. I have a full Unifi network and connected the Amcrest POE switch to one of my managed switchs port. Then connected the Amcrest 4k AI POE Camera to the Amcrest POE switch. Within a minute I was able to find the POE camera in my Unifi dashboard and connect to it. Overall I think this is a great product at the right price point. Giving you a ton of PoE ports that work without having to configure a bunch of things. Its truly plug and play for most networks.

> 24 hourWorked great out of the box. Power supply is good size for the power required. Many of these devices use small power supplies that fail over time. No power fluctuations, just works.

> 24 hourThe product did not provide enough power to my device and was getting erroneous results with my power-over-ethernet tester while the cameras they make her very high-quality the power switch does not seem to work very good I replaced mine with a Netgear and not Flawless results

> 24 hourIve only had this for a day, but already I am glad I purchased it. I couldnt find anything in the documentation that said if it would not send POE power over the port if it didnt need it, so I took a chance and plugged it in. So far, the wired speed is great. I have three Amcrest POE cameras connected. On my previous switch, the third camera was 20 to 30 seconds behind the other two when viewing in MotionEye (free DVR software, on linux). Now they are right on track with each other. I will have to update when Ive had it plugged in a while. I dont usually buy things that dont have a lot of reviews, but I have liked the Amcrest cameras and thought I would take a chance. I like it so far.

> 24 hourI have had many POE switch brands over the years and like many others this one worked with no issues. The switch was quick to detect the device being plugged in and didnt notice any speed or lag issues on my GB network. This switch seems to be more robust than some other I have seen being made out of a metal enclosure. I do like how the lights are separated and labeled so that someone who does not have a networking background knows what the lights actually mean. Would recommend to anyone looking for a smaller poe switch.
