> 24 hourThis is my first security camera setup and the camera I bought was POE (power over Ethernet) so I needed this switch to power the camera. Setup was super easy! First you plug the power adapter into a wall outlet and into the back of the switch. Then you plug one ethernet cable from your home internet router into port 1 of the switch and then plug your camera into another port. Thats it. NOTE: You will need to have at least 2 ethernet cables on hand or purchase them as the unit does not come with them.

> 24 hourThis is a really nice 802.11at/af switch. I pluggde in multiple devices and they all powered up and worked just fine. I did not like that it had no mounting slots. Also, it is advertised as a layer 2 management switch, which is 100% accurate. Unfortunately, that just means it is a basic switch that can only work across one subnet. If you are looking to VLAN off your cameras, youll have to pair it with a layer 3 switch and router. Note that it is not a managed switch. This is a standard dumb switch, with the ability to give great PoE.

> 24 hourI couldnt till you how many Amcrest cameras and related equipment I have purchased. The stuff works as advertised BUT their customer support, specifically technical support is USELESS - THEY JUST PUT YOU ON HOLD DN FORGET YOU and the ONLINE CHAT just keeps CLOSING THE SESSION. Needless to say Im thinking another brand, JUST for SUPPORT!

> 24 hourThis 8-Port Amcrest POE has performed so well, that I have purchased a second one. Plug and play that works without any extra steps. Plug in LAN, power up, and go.

> 24 hourIf you’re looking for a high speed switch that won’t drop the high speeds your paying for (400mbps+) then this is great! Other switches have a nice price point at $15 or so, but will likely be inconsistent with speed. At least that was my experience.

> 24 hourUsing with Amcrest UltraHD 4K (8MP) Outdoor Security POE IP Camera and works great so far. The camera took a bit to set up but the switch is plug and play. Seems like quality built hardware.

> 24 hourAmazing for my 7 Amcrest cameras running on Blue Iris. Solid, hefty build quality, love it. Only wish there were holes for wall mounting.

> 24 hourJust connect power and immediately connected. Couldnt be easier. Plug and play. I love the slim design as well, great for small spaces like mine. The labeling is great also. I would highly recommend. Robust switch.
