I have always been an Intel guy, but the Ryzen series piqued my interest last year. Decided to upgrade from my still-capable i7 3770 system. This thing is a dream.

Purchased in June ... Delivered in less than 2 days. A pure beast in terms of overall gaming and editing purpose.

Mine runs great and cool using an aftermarket Arttic air cooler OCed all cores to 4ghz.

Die CPU ist wirklich ein Kracher und sollte eigentlich meine Phoenix 1080 GLH unterstützen. Was sie auch wirklich sehr gut gemacht hat. Allerdings hat sie leider nach 3 Wochen von Heute auf Morgen ihren Dienst eingestellt. Gestern noch alles funktioniert und heute schwarzer Bildschirm und kein Booten. Das Auslesen der Mainboard LED ergab CPU defekt (Leuchtete 3 Sekunden bei CPU sprang dann zu DRAM und wieder auf CPU zurück). Nach einigen Tests (Grafikkarte ausgebaut, RAM ausgebaut) leuchtete die LED CPU dauerhaft (es gab keine Komponenten mehr zum testen. Weil die CPU nach so kurzer Zeit schon ihren Dienst eingestellt hat, ziehe ich 3 Punkte von der Rezension ab. Einen weiteren Punkt würde ich abziehen für das wie ich finde schlechte Erstattungsmanagement seitens Amazon, habe mich aber dann doch, da es nichts mit dem Produkt zu tun hat dagegen entschieden. Eine Umtauschbestellung ist wohl nur möglich, wenn man nicht das Gleiche Produkt nochmal bestellt. Sorry aber das ist für mich die Definition von Umtausch. Habe jetzt auf die Ryzen 7 2700x geupgraded und nochmal 50€ drauf bezahlt. Und ich hoffe, dass diese CPU dieses Mal länger hält als 3 Wochen.

I picked up one of these CPUs for just a hair over 150$ USD, new. For that price, this CPU is the price performance dream come true for system builders of all stripes. While all of the hype and glory have been going to the 3rd generation of Ryzen CPUs (I have one of those as well), the 2700 will nearly match the performance while saving a TON of money. Your games will run smooth, and 8 cores hyperthreaded? Look at it this way. I run a heavily OCd i9 9900x in my personal/content dev. machine. I need the multi-threaded performance without a doubt. However, the 9900x is obviously not a very cost-effective option for a budget conscious build. THIS cpu can be had for just north of 150$, to get a hyperthreaded 8 core intel will set you back at least 3 times that amount. The performance gap? Well, it isnt three times better, I can tell you that much. If you want a fast and EXTREMELY versatile system with 16 processing threads that will set you back all of the cost of an i3, and you are not on the cutting edge of development demand (make no mistake, this CPU shines at development), grab one of these and a < 100$ b450 motherboard and enjoy the win!
