AMD Ryzen 9 3900X 12-core, 24-thread unlocked desktop processor with Wraith Prism LED Cooler

I am building myself a PC. When I read the benchmarks for the AMD Ryzen 9 3900X CPU compared to Intel’s i3, i5, and i7 CPUs; I just HAD to get the AMD Ryzen 9 3900X.

I was using an intel core i5 before and all my games ran fine. I decided to increase my cpu power; switched to AMD Ryzen 9 3900x. Every game I play crashes now. Everything is up-to-date, bios, drivers, windows. Overclocking is turned off. Everything should be working fine, but instead every game I play crashes within a few minutes.

The Ryzen 3900x is the chip you want. No question. It is hands down a beast of a chip that runs anything you throw at it with ease. And it even throttles down to 75 watts often to save power when in idle. I installed mine on an Asrock X570 Pro4 motherboard with Crucial Ballastix 3200 16gb sticks and an Inland Premium 1TB nvme SSD stick. Im in heaven. Running MacOS Mojave 10.14.5 on it (Vanilla AMD version) with all stock BIOS settings. Runs flawlessly. Everything works including sleep. This is the ryzentosh hackintosh build to go with right now. Even supports Thunderbolt 3 via the Asrock AIC card on this board. For me this CPU is the one to beat for the money in 2019. Im getting another for a second identical build soon. You wont be dissapointed with this choice. Im not. Incredible chip.

Various reviews and YouTube PC builders arent wrong about this processor, it absolutely tears through modern apps and games with enough headroom to run background media and other things. I feel like its overkill for my usage but the future proofing and overclock potential is a massive plus!

voller Vorfreude kam der Prozessor sehr gut verpackt und unversehrt bei mir an. Die Installation verlief wie zu erwarten ohne Probleme (wer keine Erfahrungen hat, keine Angst, es liegt eine Anleitung bei wie er zu installieren ist). Den Prism Kühler habe ich in der Box gelassen da ich von vornherein eine Wasserkühlung für mein Projekt ausgewählt habe. Jedoch macht auch dieser einen qualitativ hochwertigen und stylischen Eindruck (sicherlich ein Plus für Leute die auf Luftkühlung setzen).

Its super fast but its quite warm. Ive paired it with a Be Quiet Dark Pro 4 and it reaches +70º celsius rendering video. Less than 60º playing Valorant. Those temps wouldnt be that bad, but its a very good cooler so I expected it to be cooler. Nevertheless very happy with the purchase and Id fully recommend it. PS: Im not overclocking

Havent had any issues. Works as advertised. Firing up a bunch of VMs at the same time (like 10-12 at a time) is such a giddy feeling. They just pop and show up. Hi5 all.

I must have had a duff CPU as mine gave up after about 10 months and it didnt even get that much use. It took well over a month to get a replacement which wasnt good as this was for my business PC. Its just as well I had a spare computer or Id have been in trouble due to the amount of time it took to get a replacement sorted out under the warranty!
