AMD Ryzen 9 3900X 12-core, 24-thread unlocked desktop processor with Wraith Prism LED Cooler

I had some over heating issues with the cooler but after installing a liquid cooling system Ive had very little problems with this CPU.

These CPUs runs a bit warm however the Wraith Prism does a great job with cooling. Looks great as well. I got it for rendering but it can handle gaming no problem. I chose Pentium on my last build for stability. AMD has really come full circle since my last build though. This things is rock solid. Very stable!!!!

good CPU for photoprocessing RAW files in DXO PhotoLab. Average for games, u need Intel for that. Good - it uses 7nm process, uses less energy, less hot etc. Cooler will get loud if you push your CPU, especially if u try mild overclock. I reached 4.2GHz all cores on stock cooler, but not stable. So maybe u will need better cooler for quietness and some OC.

If you need a relative monster of a CAD workstation on a budget mate this to a decent but affordable motherboard with a Radeon Pro WX 3100. You can find some dirt cheap now. Other than using the 4 gig of vram for texture storage many CAD programs dont use the GPU for more than translations, rotations, and such then the GPU use basically drops to practically nothing. Comes with a 3 year warranty. We built a budget rig for one client and Solidworks render times were about half a similarly priced Intel based rig. That said we only officially tested CAD software on this workstation. 64mb of lvl 3 cache is a gem. Did NOT overclock rig.

You need the CPU Fan mounts on your motherboard for install, make sure you know where they are! Otherwise, easy install, easy upgrade, great performance. To be determined for durability. Comes with thermal paste pre-applied.

This is a very nice CPU indeed. I almost went for the 3950x CPU but the difference in price was vast so i opted for this 3900x & i dont think you can go wrong. I would recommend this CPU for sure....
