7x faster than my previous processor Corei7 930 2.8Ghz. with a standard cooler, the processor temperature is 47 degrees.

This chip is super slick, super fast. If youre going to run games, you need to buy a graphics card and integrate it with your build. This chip will not play games on its own. I ran into an issue with RTX NVIDIA game cards not working. GTX game card did work. Theres a drivers or compatibility issue with either this chip or the mother board where it wont see the graphics card. The build checker I used, said this would all work. I believe its NVIDIAs issue because everything else works fine without them. So, do some research on the graphics card part of your build.

This is my first AMD processor ever, and its a good one. I had to switch for this build because of how much the gap has closed for gaming, and how good Ryzen has been for multi-core processing. AMDs really been putting the pressure on Intel, and this shows it. This was also the easiest processor Ive overclocked using AMDs Ryzen Master software. You can do it all from within windows and after you apply your settings, you can just exit and it will retain your overclock freeing up even more resources (I think if you were to leave Ryzen Master open, it takes up like 10% processing power or something). If youre considering this processor, just make sure to get a good cooler. Im using an NZXT Kraken x72 and, while gaming, my temps always stay right around 50C - 60C depending on how much the game utilizes the CPU. When benchmarking the highest theyve gotten is 76C. So thats a solid choice for an AIO. I havent used air cooling in years, but most people I see say that Noctua is the way to go. Overall, this is an extremely good processor and I highly recommend going with it if youre on the fence for your next build.

Awesome cpu. Paired with a Gigabyte Master motherboard, Radeon 5700 XT and G-Skill 3600mHz memory. Stable as a rock. Huge increase in performance from my old setup (2700X, 980GTX TI, 3200mHz). Highly recommended.

What can I say, 12 cores, 24 threads...You really cant expect anything but the best. Sure, Zen3 is out, but Im only on an ASRock B450m and with a Nocuta u12a, I was easily able to get this thing to 4.3ghz with max temp of 72-73C on Cinebench R20 runs. Eventually I’ll get myself onto an AsRock x570 Taichi, something whose bios I’ll be comfortable on coming from a current AsRock board/bios. I also have 64gigs(16x4) of 3200mhz Crucial Ballistix ram that I have overclocked to 3466 with infiniti fabric at 1733(exactly half). 750w Seasonic Focus Plus Platinum PSU and a Zotac RTX 2070 Super that is also overclocked via its own Firestorm software. My system is not just stable, I could pretty darn well do anything I want at this point. I upgraded from a Ryzen 7 3700x that I had overclocked to 4.4ghz no problem, but something just had me wanting a higher score on more cores. I use Cinebench R20. Just popping this puppy in with no OC, at just 3.8ghz yielded a jump from around 5100 with the Ryzen 7, to a 7162 straight out of the box. First overclock attempt up to 4.2 got me to 7395, then 4.3 got me 7581 at 1.375v, and finally 4.4ghz got me 7753. Granted when Im running a Cinebench run, Ryzen Master is telling me Im now pulling about 133 watts, but thats to be expected from 12 cores. Im in shock at how good the Noctua u12a is. At 4.4ghz the processor never gets above 76c (Noctua NT-H2 thermal paste) Im never going to make this thing work that hard on a day to day basis. Idle is about 33-35C most of the time unless my room is hot and only pulling about 13-18w on average. I really could not be more happy. Im just smiling from ear to ear at not only the stability, but also the sheer raw power of this thing. Highly recommended!

good CPU for photoprocessing RAW files in DXO PhotoLab. Average for games, u need Intel for that. Good - it uses 7nm process, uses less energy, less hot etc. Cooler will get loud if you push your CPU, especially if u try mild overclock. I reached 4.2GHz all cores on stock cooler, but not stable. So maybe u will need better cooler for quietness and some OC.
