I got mine about a year ago and just about to order my 2nd one to use with my 2nd herd of Guinea pigs. I tried other ways to sort hay and this is the easiest for them to get at (especially a larger herd) and the easiest for me to fill. The herd that uses it is a herd of 6 Guinea pigs. It lets them all have easy access to it and keeps it off the ground. Very sturdy and an overall great product.

After a number of methods we found this and it has been PERFECT. Our piggies would crawl in every rack, even undoing Velcro. Got a leg stuck in wire racks, soiled fabric bags only lasted a short time, bowls flipped in seconds, etc. Best of all they can not get inside. The cap locks, but has not once been knocked over. It holds a lot of hay. It is unfinished, probably for their health, but I was worried the Guineas would pee on it and wood would absorb the smell BUT that has not been an issue in any way.

Seemed like a solid feeder. It was just too big for my rabbit cage.

Love this! My two bunnies make much less of a mess with this than my previous dish like hay feeder. They stay busy picking the pieces out and bonus when they get bored it makes for a good chew toy for them! Super happy with it at a great price and very easy assembly.

I like that theres less hay strewn about in the cage and that you can also use it for pellets instead of using a bowl. I have been using the former pellet bowl as a catch for drips from their water bottle. I have found that there is no such thing as a no drip water bottle!

We love this hay holder for our guinea pigs. They cant knock it over and can access from all sides to avoid fighting over the hay. Only downside was the rop is made with only a small dowel to close the lid and that dowel broke almost immediately.
