Ive been balancing my hair straightener on the edge of my sink for over a decade so that it doesnt burn my counter top. It protects my counter and I dont have to worry about my straightener falling off my sink onto the floor. The size is larger than I expected and works perfectly for my needs.

Used this with my amazing flat iron that gets really hot to the point where it made a burn mark through my old counter top. Its heavy duty, anyway. I used this to ensure that wouldnt happen again, and lo and behold, it works great. It also opens into a sleeve to be able to travel with it if you need to keep it in your bag etc. It handles my high temp flat iron and curling iron like a champ. Would recommend!

Have always had to be careful about putting down the flat iron or curling iron on the bathroom counter. This makes it so much easier. The best thing is I can take it with me when traveling.
