The case is well build, durable and good looking. Easy to put it together with the supplied parts. Unfortunately, using the PoE Hut, although it fits perfectly the heat gets trapped and sometimes this leads to crashes.

This is an outstanding case from anodized billet aluminum (its heavy!). When mounted, each of the Pis connectors are perfectly centered in their slots. The rubber feet go into milled out pockets on the bottom of the case. The attention to detail is astounding. However, note that the top is not glass but laser-cut acrylic, which they do mention in the materials section of their comparison, but some reviews had me expecting glass. The images in the description are renders showing perfectly glossy edges but the top actually has a rougher laser finish. Also, watch out for the 21 mm of height clearance on the standard case: its not enough for the Waveshare POE HAT I wanted to use (whose headers stand 30 mm proud of the Pi PCB). This case only supports the official POE HAT that happens to be low profile due to its non-stacking headers and through-board mounted transformer. Unlike many other cases, this case actually mounts the Pi using its mounting holes using M2.5 standoffs in the bottom of the case. This means you can reach those holes to mount HATs securely using additional standoffs. I wanted to use the standard case anyways and use longer screws for the cover (the spacers dont add enough height for my use), but I dont have long M2.5 screws or standoffs. I wish the cover mounted with M3 screws as thats much more common.

Very happy with the case as it fit the GPS hat perfectly, and the internal GPS antenna still works through the Perspex top. Wifi signal is reduced based on the direction of the signal going through the aluminium or Perspex.

works well with display hats. runs hot. if youre going to spend this much money, just spend 10 bucks more and get the pro version with the heat sync. bottom line its nice but i would not buy it again because of the cost. pros: - well built - solid construction - clear glass cons: - expensive - hot

This cause is built very well. Materials are top notch and so are the looks. Cut outs are about as precise as you can get (argon1 neo is absolutely perfect though.) One plastic side means you get ok wireless. Plenty of room for a hat or other reasonable compact add ons. My biggest issue though is the cooling miss. You have a massive and thick aluminum case that sinks zero heat. Don’t get me wrong, the top risers and large bottom slots are ok, but what a wasted opportunity over all. If you’ve got room for a heat sink or fan, use it. Otherwise I would suggest something more open or the argon 1 neo which makes use of the metal it has to deal with heat.

Stavo cercando un case di buona qualità che mi permettesse di inserire il Sense Hat e che avesse la sommità trasparente per visualizzare i led. Cercando, ho trovato quindi questo bellissimo case completamente in metallo (alluminio nero) e con il top trasparente. Non solo è bello esteticamente ma è anche fatto molto bene (cosa che si nota subito appena si prende in mano). Il fatto che sia in metallo inoltre facilita meglio il raffreddamento piuttosto che un case di plastica. Il mio progetto era utilizzarlo con il Sense Hat ed ero insicuro se utilizzare la versione Alta o la normale. Contattando direttamente la ditta ho potuto verificare laltezza precisamente ed è bastata la versione standard. Ho optato per la versione nera con smoky cover e posso confermare che i led si vedono in modo chiaro e leffetto è davvero premium. Il particolare degli inserti sul fondo per appenderlo al muro è davvero ben studiato e di ottima fattura. Questo mi permetterà di appenderlo verticale una volta finito il progetto. Ma anche i piedini antiscivolo funzionano molto bene. Non ho dovuto utilizzare gli spaziatori per alzare il vetro ma volendo aumentare il passaggio daria anche quelli sembrano di metallo e ben fatti.

This is a very well made case, very sturdy and looks fantastic! I used it for a brand new Pi 4 and added a Yahboom Raspberry Pi 4B 3B+ 3B Cooling Fan Intelligent Temperature Control I2C OLED Display Programmable RGB Light to it. The case held both perfectly and looked great with the internal lighting. If you want a real classy looking Raspberry Pi project, this case with the Yahboom hat is a great combination.

I bought two of these for my Pis. The nicely match my other items. There is ample space inside and the unit. The unit just plain feels better than a plastic one when you think about durability. I will buy again if needed.
