Used to connect external disc drive to new iMac which has only USB-C ports

Works find converting USB TO USB-C, but on MacBooks (at least the touch bar MacBooks), it will drain your battery even during sleep. This is an issue with the MacBook, not this converter. Just be aware if your computer battery is at 0% in the morning.

Now I know why it comes two to a package... This adapter fell apart in less than a month of having it. I was using it without issue until today when the mouse that was attached started not responding. When I checked the adapter, it fell apart in my hand. Not very well made. I have never had problems with Anker products before so in all fairness this might be a one-off problem from its manufacture. It still is frustrating that it just fell apart in less than a month of normal use.

Works great for the MacBook Pro 2020 with 4 ports!

Feels very sturdy and built with good quality. When I insert the USB-A cable in it it feels well connected, the whole adapter will hold everything together very well. Anker never disappointed me, it’s actually my second two-pack that I bought from them. Does the job pretty well, nothing fancy there.
