    A Mac Guru family member recommended the Anker USB to C-Hub converters for my MacBook Air. I recently upgraded from my 7 year old Mac. The technology changes from old to new were quite different and I was not prepared. I’m happy now.

    Well I needed this for higher power transfer of 2A to power a usb fan. The 1A phone charger didnt work on high speed so i decided to use my i-pad 3A charger which is only a USB-C. So with this high speed and higher power uSB-C to USB 3.0 adapter it works GREAT! I can now power my fan on High speed all night with this higher power adapter.

    Does exactly what’s it intended to, but with a USB 3.0 external hard drive, I expected faster than 50mb/s read and write speeds. May be a limitation of the drive rather than the adapter though.

    Typical issues. These worked for a couple of months then stopped. Unable to transfer files on the first try or at all. Work sometimes, then not at all. Not sure if theyre authentic, or maybe I just need to buy more expensive ones.
