> 24 hourI have been using Aqara devices over a year now. And I use them in Apple HomeKit. I haven’t had any problems with them setting them up at all. This is great if you’re trying to get into the smart home. Just remember that you need a Aqara hub to make this work.

> 24 hourWe live in an older home with all of our lights integrated into our electrical system and all of our fans on the ceiling. I realized after we purchased this that we didnt have much use for this plug in the traditional sense - no traditional fans, no lamps, no hidden sockets.... I also realized that all of our devices that this could be convenient for (electric kettle, dyson fan, etc) require more than just a power on/off to start. Ultimately, because this was so affordable and we are bad at returning items, we decided to use this on the powerstrip that houses all of our electronic devices and chargers. Essentially we are using it to save on electricity and eliminate phantom power in our home. While this may not be absolutely necessary, it has made it easy to turn off the power to the power strip at any point during the day and doesnt require us to remember before we leave the house. Baby steps to saving the environment.

> 24 hourI am a victim of the Insteon shutdown and wanted to replace my smart home devices with something that was not Wi-Fi and could form a separate mesh network like Insteon did. After a bit of research I decided to give Aqara a try. Bought a couple of these smart plugs along with an M2 hub. Everything works great. I’ve added more Aqara products and am very happy with the system. Works flawlessly with Home Assistant as well.

> 24 hourInstalled to extend my zigbee range for some door sensors, as well as monitor the power usage of my gas dryer to know when the laundry is ready. Very fast response and precise readings at lower power, it can consistently tell the difference of 0 to 2W when the door is open so the light comes on. Instant pairing and no issues after a few months. It does default to off if the power goes out, couldnt figure out how to configure that from HA. I dont use it for switching the dryer load but in theory this is one of the few meant to handle that kind of load.

> 24 hourZigbee plugs are usually much more expensive than WiFi plugs (which can be Tasmotized), but Prime Day pricing made this more reasonable, and I needed an extra repeater to fill a weak spot in my mesh. This plug works, easily joined the network, and it reports wattage used.

> 24 hourI’ve never had any “no response” errors. Connects to the Aqara bridge, so using this instead of comparable alternatives saves on WiFi overcrowding. My only complaint is that this device, like most other plugs and switches, makes a loud click when activated or deactivated.
