Just what I needed in order to have the tube reach the bottom.

It was unnecessary as the pump came with all I needed.

Appears to fit the AquaClear 70 very loosly. Not nearly as snug as the originals that come with the aqua clear unit itself. Hopefully the flow will assist with the suction but fingers crossed!

Allows you to siphon debris from bottom of tank. Works wonderfully for deep tanks with the bullet proof AquaClear Filters.

Like all of Aquaclear replacement parts they are NOT the same quality as on the original filters. The plastic is much thinner and brittle. As long as you are very careful when you replace the old one, you are fine. It is much better than cleaning the buildup and is much better than replacing an entire filter. I consider these must have maintenance for the filters.
