AquaTeak Patented 18 Sumba Lotus Teak Shower Bench

This bench is of high craftsmanship and quality. It’s surface is smooth and it’s built well. After applying a thin coat of teak oil, it is holding up beautifully in my shower. We rinse off any soap residue before gently wiping it off. We hope to have it for many years.

The stool arrived in perfect condition with very sturdy packaging. It is fairly easy to assemble, and I would have given this item 5 stars if it werent for the cumbersome allen wrench connections and the cheapskate assembly tool made in Lilliput. A hex head slotted screw would have been far better. After a few busted knuckles during assembly, I retrieved a legitimate allen wrench from my toolbox, and the process got easier. But the wood is beautiful and the finished product is very nice, albeit heavy. The height of the stool is 17, which is a comfort height on toilets. If your calf bones are short, you may find it the stool a bit too tall.

Lovely teak with preassembled parts pegged nicely. Great packaging that protects the wood very well. Mortise and tenon construction for the parts you need to assemble: requires screwing 4 pieces together, 2 trestle style legs and a stretcher with 6 JCBC fasteners into threaded inserts - 2 short, 4 long. It is so easy to assemble in fact, I didnt look at the instructions, not saying that you should not. A 4MM hex wrench is furnished but it isnt the best, one end was not cut off cleanly. I have a hex driver with a round tip that worked better on the short screws (stretcher) but final tightening with the squared off end. Assembly the parts with all fasteners a little loose, then give them all a final torque. The depth of the hex pocket in the JCBC are shallow and could be a problem if you dont press the hex key in very tightly. Push hard on final torquing and you will be okay.

Just had total bath remodel to covert tub/shower to 5 x 6 walk in shower; didnt want bench installed or handicapped styled chair, so opted for this bench. It looks great! Currently we dont need to sit to shower but we did weight test the bench up to 250 lbs, no wobbling or indication it would be unstable.

I read some of the other reviews before purchasing this shower seat and I was a bit confused not certain if I should order it. I went ahead and ordered it it came very beautifully packaged him no scratches underneath the wood no damage. It was extremely easy to assemble.I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for an aesthetically pleasing , and comfortable shower bench.

Its a nice bench for a small shower area. Comfortable to sit on. It was easy to assemble.

Perfect size, looks great

Seat is very good quality, finish is excellent with no rough edges. I like the fact that it has adjustable rubber feet which work well in a large walk in shower with a sloped floor. Seat is stable with no wobble.

Lovely bench, exactly as pictured. Perfect size for our shower and nice to sit on.. Easy to put together and made of quality wood. The water just beads up and the finish stays the same. Would highly recommend.
