AquaTeak Patented 24 Sumba Teak Shower Bench with Shelf

Ive had this now for a couple months or so. Its in our walk in shower, out of direct spray from the shower head but gets wet during showers obviously. I applied 3 or 4 coats of Penofin Marine Oil after assembly to help maintain the new finish look and prevent water absorption. Despite a pretty high quality outdoor finish, it still absorbs water and can probably stain unless sprayed or wiped off after each use. Also, you HAVE to clean it at least every few weeks or mold will start to form in the crevices and underneath. Probably not unusual for any natural wood furniture kept in a shower! Would definitely buy again.

This shower bench is worth the price. Beautiful wood, assembled in 15 minutes. We are going use the teak oil on it before putting it in the shower.

The bench itself is beautiful and well-made. Our only negative comment is that the hex/Allen wrench provided does not fit well and was completely inadequate for the job. You will need to have a functional hex wrench in the correct size to complete the bench assembly.

It did not take me long after moving into our apartment to realize the importance of storage solutions in a small shower and the necessity of having an elevated space when it comes to shaving. Sitting on the shower floor while shaving my legs just really was not cutting it for me...lol. So I ordered this shortly after we moved in and it has been one of my absolute best purchases for the apartment! It was super easy to assemble and the overall product quality exceeded expectations. It looks beautiful in the small space we have and has held up incredibly well. I do occasionally treat it with the teak oil that is sold separately by the same company but it does not take long to do and Ive only done it once or twice in the past 5 or 6 months. Ive seen in some of the product pictures that the stools are sometimes kept outside of the shower/bath but ours stays on the inside, just against the wall that is opposite from the shower head. It still does get wet but I try to wipe it down with a dry washcloth if it is exceptionally soaked for some reason. I do store a lot of bath products on the shelf but I definitely learned the hard way that the bar soaps I use need to be placed on a little plate or something... the only imperfection on the stool came from me leaving a bar of soap right on top and it got slightly discolored. Overall, the product itself is really beautiful and worth the money in my opinion!
