11-06-2025This was my first time to do this type of computer maintenance. Watching you-tube videos on how to replace thermal paste on CPU and GPU processors plus cleaning the fan were most helpful in having a successful outcome. This paste was rated higher than other thermal pastes that I looked at and the syringe type applicator was most helpful in easily applying the paste. My computer is no longer shutting down due to overheated processors.

> 3 dayThis 2009 computer flat quit working a month after I changed the CPU from a 2.6 quad core to a 3.3 hex-core. Spent a month reading online and thinking about it. Then I saw where Apple required a different thermal goop than I was used to using. I had used my normal Arctic Silver stuff. But Apple are the ones that invented the free Ethernet on their computers that requires an $89.95 adapter back in the PowerPC days when Win 3.11 requires just a $10 Ethernet card, so ...I bought this stuff.
