> 3 dayWhere to start... I was upgrading an old D20 Thinkstation from a pair of x5660 Xeons to a x5680s. I used a graphite Swatch as my thermal material. when running under load it would breach 100 degrees C. I went and ordered MX-4 thermal paste. I cleaned off the processors and applied the MX-4 I began stress testing the processors and I noticed a drop of about 10 to 20 degrees at full load. Long story short, this stuff is amazing.

Greater than one weekMy I7 4970 started overheating, and would randomly crash my PC when watching youtube videos. I figured something is not right with the cooler or the heatsink. After taking it apart, I found the old thermal paste to be completely dry. I cleaned it with alcohol and paper towels, waited it to dry, added a dot of this new paste in the middle of the processor, and put everything back together. Temperatures are back in check, no overheating when stressing the CPU.

> 3 dayDadurch das die Wärmeleitung der Paste mit der Zeit immer schlechter wird, und spätestens nach 6 Jahren gewechselt werden sollte, habe ich mich für diese Waremleitpaste entschieden. Das auftragen war danke des mitgelieferten spachtels sehr einfach. Lediglich die Demontage und Montage der Laptops war schwierig. Aber das Ergebnis kann sich sehen lassen. Die Kühlleistung der Laptopkühler ist jetzt besser als vorher.

> 3 dayI bought the ARCTIC MX-4 thermal paste for my old Asus X54C laptop from 2012 which I am still having to use daily. Idle temperatures were 55-58°C, while the temperature under 100% load during video encoding was 99°C. After application of the ARCTIC MX-4 thermal paste, and cleaning of the radiator grill, the idle temperatures dropped to as low as 41°C, and temperature under 100% CPU load during video-encoding dropped to 74°C max! So I have achieved a temperature drop of 25-26°C under 100% CPU load - this is simply epic! For its price, nothing can beat the royal performance of the ARCTIC MX-4 - it is the absolute undisputed king!
