Its fairly small and has a lot of pins for various sensors and LEDs. I recommend getting the Arduino Cookbook along with this board.

Greater than one weekIve heard that its fairly common for Arduinos to fail out of the box, but this one worked fine. So far, Ive used it to play with RGB controllable LED strings.
