> 3 dayI originally purchased this case so I could also make use of the GPIO pins of the Raspberry Pi 4, but I am impressed with the quality and other features of the case.

> 3 dayAt first blush, it seems like a little expensive for a Raspberry Pi case, but once you get it it totally makes sense. This case is one big heat sink and it comes with a built in fan. As an added bonus it moves all the ports of the Raspberry Pi around to the back, and has a physical power button. It comes with thermal pads to connect the processor to the metal case/heat sink, and the fan senses the heat of RPi and only turns on when it needs to. (details of how this works are in the attached photos). Under normal circumstances web browsing/watching YouTube videos the fan is rarely needed because the passive cooling work so well. When a friend recommended the case, what sold me on it was the power button to do proper shutdowns and that the microSD slot is still accessible while the Raspberry Pi is in the ArgonOne case. The only feature I wish this case had, it would be nice if it converted the micro-HDMI ports to full size HDMI, since it already has a little custom board to move the ports around to the back.

02-06-2025I was excited until I operated it. The case is awesome but the daughter board that reroutes the ports is flaky. I had a monitor port that died the same day I hooked this up. Now the monitor has ghost issues with sound on the hdmi ports. Its an older Samsung but it was a nice monitor (SMT27A750). I spent hours trying to figure out what was happening, filed off a bit of the PCB to ensure proper fit but in the end my confidence in this product gave out. Its now on the way to the recycle center...I ended up reorder another Anidees Aluminum Pi case. Stay away from this case and take a look at the Anidees Glass Top AI-PI4-SG...Its modern and classy...to each his own but...

> 3 dayThis is my Pi setup: Raspberry Pi 4B 8GB overclocked to 2MHz Running RaspberryPi OS 64Bit Stable Beta USB bootable External Adata 256 SSD w/USB3 to SATA 3 cable Mounted in an ArgonOne case w/built-in multi-function pwr button and temperature controlled fan I REALLY like the functionality of the multi-function power button. Thats the best feature. And the ability to configure and control the fan is great (which I was unaware of). The case is solidly built with heat sinks built in that match up to the Pis processor and ram chips and includes thermal compound. All the mounting holes for the board fastener screws line up. The access holes for the power and HDMI cables as well as the USB/Ethernet ports on the Pi itself line up and the cables plug in firmly. Easy access to the GPIO with the magnetized cover is good. Instructions provided are easy to understand and follow meaning a quick easy assembly. I may add another Pi and if I do, this will be my go to case.

04-06-2025This Argon One aluminum case is a flawlessly engineered work of art. The designer(s) put a lot of attention to every single detail while crafting this case. It feels very solid. It has a nice weight to it, and will not move or get pulled around by the cables. The Pi fits snugly inside, and is well protected. Even the power supply is of high quality. The transformer is nice and heavy, and the cable is soft, yet sturdy. The power button has a nice tactile click. The USB-C power connector fits just right, without any amount of play. The included HDMI/Audio PCB extender is a perfect fit, and nicely made as well. The PCB extender is the perfect solution to having all the ports located on the back side of the case. The case itself is the heat-sink for the pi, and it has a fan built into it, keeping the Pi very cool, even when under heavy work loads. I have quite a few cases for the Pi, and I have never, ever fallen in love with one, like I have with the Argon One. Its gorgeous, and the most functional case I have ever had hands on. Also, last but not least, the instructions even, are of excellent quality. Everything is explained step by step, clearly. The Argon One has raised the bar on Pi cases. Their craftsmanship surpasses all others. I will be buying another one for another Pi project that I am putting together.

> 3 dayI really wanted to like this case. When it did work it was great! The problem is that it wont work consistently. If I power the RPi up first and then turn it off and shove it into the case and power it up again it seems to work. When I leave it in the case powered off for a few hours and then try to turn the RPi back on it will never do so. I can then remove the RPi from the case and it works without issue. Ive reached out to support a few times now but they never respond. Cant recommend purchasing from a company that wont stand behind their products. Im also using the included power adapter they provided with the case so it shouldnt be a power supply issue. Ive heard the case is power hungry and that should be covered. Such a shame...

> 3 dayThis seems to be a nice solid case. Comes with two thermo-tape pads to transfer heat from the CPU to the enclosure, features an extension board to redirect the HDMI, sound and USB-C power ports to be rear facing, and features a removable flap to allow access to the hat headers of the pi. The fan and power button require additional software to be installed (Python scripts installed via a simple shell script execution which is terrible security practice, but in this case appears to be benign). The power button and fan can be configured to alter their behaviors. All-in-all Im quite pleased with what Ive seen so far.
