> 3 dayJust an excellent case, love the conversion to regular HDMI for my retro console setup. Keeps the Pi4 nice and cool with overclocking as well. Install was super easy and everything just worked.

Greater than one week*************UPDATE************************************************************************* I wanted so bad for this thing to work smoothly. This is a perfect example when of an awesome design using substandard parts! I would buy this case again just for the passive heatsink cooling but my fan started making horrible bearing noise at DAY 5... Since dropping off a UPS return during a snowstorm and waiting for a replacement when I need my Pi Server running isnt really my idea of a good time, I will have to find one of my mini 5V fans and replace it myself. I just ask myself WHY. Why build such a nice case with all of that solid aluminum and skimp out an extra 10 cents on the BOM with a crap Shenzen fan? ************************************************************************************************* I have a raspberry constantly running BOINC at 100% and I love the fact that the case itself acts like a heatsink. I have checked the CPU temperature and it stays around the 55 C temp where the fan will kick on at minimum speed occasionally to push the temp below the threshold. It is so much better than those cheap acrylic cases with loud cheap fans that barely do anything. Note- I cannot attest to the breakout board working or not. My unit runs headless. I have seen complaints on other reviews about that.

Greater than one weekI watched tons of video reviews before buying the Argon One for my Raspberry Pi 4 and it truly does everything its supposed to. I use my RPi to crunch COVID protein models in Rosetta and it keeps my RPi at 55C at 100% load. It looks great. The fan emits a pretty high pitched whine when its running even at 10% but its very small so I dont expect silence. Overall its great. If youre on the fence, take the plunge!

> 3 dayWas so looking forward to getting this case. Unfortunately, the ethernet port would not fit in the opening. This caused the GPIO pins to be misaligned. Tried a second Pi 4 with the same results. Unfortunately I had to return the case, and now they are out of stock. I am assuming it was just an issue with this one case as it seems others have not had the same issue.

> 3 dayThe picture shows the first version with the micro hdmi connectors. It worked well and I wrote a small script to control the fan speed with the i2c commands that Argon publishes. Ordered 2 more cases, but got the V2 version where those commands no longer work. Customer support didnt respond for weeks and wasnt helpful when they finally did. Returned both and will resume the search for a case that worked as well as their first version did.

Greater than one weekDidnt work for me. I assembled everything as instructed, Pi 4 powered on but there was no signal coming out of the micro HDMI ports. I tried on another power supply from my other Pi4 but still no luck. I then opened up the case again, made sure the included expansion board fitup was snug. Reassembled the case, plugged it in and it did power on, but there were still no signal. Returned mine for a refund. What a bummer.

> 3 dayI wanted SO much to like this case. It looks fantastic; its ideas are a step above most cases (daughterboard to get all ports on one side; power button on case; passive and active cooling; etc). I just really really wanted to like it. However ... it just doesnt work. Tried repeatedly to get it working, but nothing. If you get a unit that works, its probably an awesome case for you. For me, it didnt work, and Ill move on to a different case. Pros: * aesthetic design * functional design * features Cons: * daughterboard ports dont line up quite perfect with case cut-outs (not a huge deal, as they still worked, but it just doesnt look quite right) * it doesnt work. nope. nada.

05-06-2025I purchased this based on a Youtube review, ExplainingComputers. It shows microHDMI ports on the case being brought out. The unit I got has STANDARD HDMI ports and I love it! The only downside was I only had three of the small screws for holding the adapter card in place, but I dont feel any looseness. I love the fact that all the cords come off one side. The heat transfer pads work fine and the case is cool to the touch though you can feel just a bit of heat. The fan has not turned on, yet. Love it and plan to purchase another for the next project an emby media server. or Plex which ever works.

> 3 dayThis case is amazing for passive cooling, and the fan in it works great. The only downsides are that the gpio pins need a riser for a hat.
