I went with this because the RAM brand ones are like four times more, after two years the RAM brand parts inside the truck still solid but this one turned into rubber and started falling apart but..... so cheap Ill probably get 2 now since is just for my phone inside the truck. Just FYI, dont trust this to mount equipment that is worth thousands of dollars like a fancy fishfinder etc. that will go plunk down to the bottom of the ocean if this ball mount breaks lol

The small ball is a little to small and my garmin is very loose fitting. I made it work but it’s not ideal.

It does the job, allowing me to connect my new Garmin to my existing Ram Mounts setup. The Garmin holder seems tight to the 17mm ball.

I purchased this adapter to convert my Ram X phone holder to a GPS mount Thumbs Up!

The 17mm ball end is too small to securely hold a small Garmin NUVI GPS unit, the unit should pop onto the ball and have enough friction that the GPS will hold in position. Due to poor tolerance in the manufacturing of the ball end, the GPS unit flops around at every bump and turn. Definitely wasted money.

Fits good but unfortunately cannot the angle I would have liked with my Garmin Dashcam 35.Would have been better if slightly curved.
