> 3 dayMy wife decided she wanted recessed lighting in the kitchen at our cottage. That involved cutting out the ceiling. I decided to try and make the job easier by looking for a hole saw to cut the holes. After searching a bit, I found this one by ASTP & FH. This hole saw did a decent job cutting out the 4-1/2” holes in the ceiling I needed to install my LED lights. The edges were a lot cleaner than I could have possibly done with my coping saw. And cutting them was fast….I had a perfect hole in all of 30 seconds. My only complaint about this hole saw is the fact there is a lot of play in the saw when it’s seated on the bit. It wobbles noticeably if it’s not pressed down on a board or, in my case, the ceiling. When pressure is applied to it, it’s fine though. The quality of the steel used in this saw is fair at best. And the shank could use a better fastener. But all in all, it worked, and my lights are up. This hole saw is great for an occasional job, but I don’t think it would hold up for repeated use.

> 3 dayThis create a very precise hole for air ductwork. The metal is thick, preventing any warping of the shape. As usual with these painted hole saws, the blades are not very sharp. The emphasis is instead on keeping a uniform circle. I had another brand that looked identical and works the same way, but this is cheaper and includes the same features to avoid the chip getting stuck inside. I think it is a good value.

Greater than one weekThere is another review on here that provides a good evaluation on this hole saw. (Well done, pmoy!) So I am not going to go very deep on this one. I am just going to say that for DIY or non-professional use, this is a good cheaper option to go with. I used it on drywall and had no problems. Satisfied.

> 3 dayMost of the top brand name hole saws can be expensive, especially when you buy them individually. This one worked well for the application I was using it for and didnt break the bank. I would purchase from this brand again.

> 3 dayI normally prefer Lennox brand hole saws, but I couldn’t find them in the size I needed. This one does work. Size wise it’s perfect. Quality wise, it’s more Harbor Freight. I.e., don’t expect it to last a life time, but it’ll get the job done. There was a bit more smoking and a bit less cutting action than I would’ve liked. But for the price, that’s expected. One thing I neglected to consider was the depth/length of the hole saw. This one *barely* was sufficient for my needs. They should’ve increased the size a bit, so you could drill through thicker materials.

> 3 dayIt got the job done, but had to back off on my drill press several time because it would stop spinning. Had to go lightly and take it slow. Seemed dull.

> 3 dayI used this hole saw on some shelves that I need a hole in for power cords to run through. It worked great. Cut through the plywood with no issues and left a nice clean hole.
