Greater than one weekFantastic detail and sound stage. Impressive dynamics and frequency range. Comfortable and not as heavy as its perceived by many people. Can easily have it for a couple hours fine. Im pairing it with a Topping E50 and L50 stack, they are perfect for these cans. Is it worth the price? Probably not for casual listeners, if you want some of the best professional level detail retrieval, these are definitely the right choice.

> 3 dayHad a hard time deciding between lcd x, Arya and focal clear. Super happy with these, amazing sound quality. They’re def heavy, so I need to take a break after 4 hours or so. I’m sure I’ll get used to them more as time passes as it’s only a minor discomfort after the 4th hour. Bass hits perfect and the detail in every instrument is surreal.

> 3 dayBest headphones I own, absolutely hifi, bring out the best in music. Heavy, yes, but dont let naysayers turn you off completely.

> 3 dayThese do not sound good at all without correction EQ. But with correction they are very impressive and it is possible to do high end content creation exclusively with these as the monitoring solution. They are also very heavy, but for me quite comfortable none the less. Unfortunately Amazon does not allow pointing to a place to get free correction EQ so those interested will have to search for it on the net.

> 3 dayI have been using Phillips X2s and Fostex T50RPMK3s for the last 5-7 years. I decided to test out a couple of upgrades. I bought 2 new pairs of headphones: Beyerdynamic DT 1990 Pros, and the Audeze LCD-X.

Greater than one weekIve started to notice after several hours of listening time that my right ear is now touching the right fazor (plastic grill) on the headphone and causes great discomfort. Ive looked online and this is a known issue with audezes LCD line. Its surprising that people have had issues with the exact same thing and yet dont fix their pads. Ive contacted support and was told that there was nothing they can do. I dont have giant ears and they are quite normal. When I glance at the pads the right padding seems thinner than the left pad. Also not to mention that the pelican case that comes with the headphone is missing a rubber foot so when its placed on a flat surface it wobbles.

> 3 dayDefinitely an improvement, with a bit of weight loss and some actually decent tuning, making the LCD-X competitive with higher tier and more expensive cans. Their still the heaviest in my collection but are sonically weightier then most along with its better dynamics, instrument separation and sound stage.

> 3 dayThese headphones sound great with the Schiit Bifrost 2 and Magnius along with balanced set up. The definition on the high end is insane without being sibilant. Vocals sound intimate.

> 3 dayI purchased these as an open box. Running through my system with an RME DAC (add bass shelf an tame one peak) with either a tube amp or my solid state, these rival much more expensive headphones. I alternate back and forth between these and my ZMF Verites, which are more than double the price. The ZMF have better stage, more bass impact, and slightly more resolution (SLIGHTLY). Overall technical qualities are maybe 10% better on the verite.

> 3 dayis a little heavy. With my big noggin Ive literally maxed out the rods to fit on my head. Very comfortable as the weight is well-distributed. However youll feel it after a few hours. Overall theyre sound fantastic, a little dark which Id preferred. Theyre good for any genre of music. Good little investment if youre enjoy music during quiet nights OR days. Comes highly recommended!
