For those of you using this for a bass booster you are using this incorrectly. This piece of equipment is used to (restore) bass at lower frequencies that would typically damage stock car audio speakers. When the volume is turned up past a factory preset the bass is reduced to protect the speakers from damage. The epicenter will alter the signal coming in and maintain the bass level. This should not be used as a bass booster, however this piece of equipment works very well when properly installed and tuned. I own a custom stereo business and love these things when adding subs to a factory radio

Unless im useing it wrong, i cant get it to sound good with metal. Just sounds like a sloppy bass mess. And if you listen to many genres then youll be messin with it all the time.

This device does what it says it does. You can of course over do it. You do not need to turn the knob all the way up in order to feel like you are getting your moneys worth. You can leave it low. I never turn the knob above 50%. This device does a FANTASTIC job of recreating bass in tracks that do not have it. I was extremely skeptical. I thought that there is no way that they could just realtime add bass and it would sound nice. I thought that there would be timing issues or some detectable disgusting artificial quality to the audio that it was generating. I was wrong. I decided to get this thing due to the overwhelming support I see in the build community for car audio.
