> 3 dayI am new to the quilting and relied on others with experience in quilting, in regards to the best things to use to make a quilt. My first quilt was machine quilted and I used 30 wt. thread, only because I couldn’t find locally the 50 wt. I ordered 50 wt. and it was so difficult to use. It is so easy to break and a challenge to work with. I’ll go back to the 30 weight on my next quilt.

> 3 dayThis is the only thread I will use on my Bernina 780. It is the best, high quality thread you can buy.

Greater than one weekI have tried Aurifil in several different Bernina machines for freehand machine quilting. Ive already had to throw out 2 nearly full spools because the thread breaks constantly, whether its used in the bobbin or on top. Many of my quilter friends love this thread, but its not for me. I have had nothing but trouble with it. Ive tried different needles, different tensions and nothing works. I consider myself an expert quilter so I dont think that its me doing something weird. Im going back to Mettler and Bottom Line for my machine quilting.

> 3 dayAll three spools arrived quickly and were well packaged. I saved 4+ dollars per spool, compared to local quilt shops - WHEN i can find Aurifil. I wont use anything BUT Aurifil - no lint, next to zero breakage. When I clean my bobbin area - other Quality threads (Sulky, Mettler, etc) leave TONS of lint. Aurifil all the way - unless I need a specific color of variegated thread Aurifil doesnt have - then Ill buy King Tut.

Greater than one weekI was very disappointed; I had to rethread my Brother sewing machine at least 10 times after using this for the 1st time. I changed my needle, etc. and the tread breaking continued. Perhaps a bad batch.
