Aurifil Mako Cotton 50wt Thread Solid Grey 1422 Yard

I have used this for both sewing and topstitching on a quilt. I still have a ton left after making several quilts.

The only thread for quilters.

My favorite for putting a quilt together. It works well in my Bernina where as other brands do not.

I was so happy to find this thread available on Amazon because when my old spool finally ran out I knew I wanted to replace it with the same brand and color and size ASAP! I almost bought the color “Dove” in this brand but my old spool was “Grey” so I didn’t want any changes. I use this to piece cotton for quilting projects. I use heavier weight thread to actually do the machine quilting. For those in the “know,” this thread is labeled “50/2” which means something to some people. Just not me! I know the 50 is lighter weight than 30.

Ive heard great things about Aurifil and I like the weight of this thread for my piecing, but honestly, it is more linty than the cheap quilting thread I was using by Coats & Clark. I wish I had bought a smaller spool to try it out.
