Aurifil Mako Cotton 50wt Thread Solid Grey 1422 Yard

This is the only brand I use on my quilts.

my wife quilts and has thread break in the past with other brands.this thread is less breakage and makes a lot less fuzz in her sewing machine

I was so happy to find this thread available on Amazon because when my old spool finally ran out I knew I wanted to replace it with the same brand and color and size ASAP! I almost bought the color “Dove” in this brand but my old spool was “Grey” so I didn’t want any changes. I use this to piece cotton for quilting projects. I use heavier weight thread to actually do the machine quilting. For those in the “know,” this thread is labeled “50/2” which means something to some people. Just not me! I know the 50 is lighter weight than 30.

Aurifil is the BEST! Perfect for quilting because of its weight. The grey barely shows.
