Installation was quick and easy and I could not be happier. I did have to try a couple of different MicroSD cards as the system would not recognize the initial MicroSD card used; however, after switching to a different MicroSD card, I was able to easily upgrade to the latest version of Marlin. This board is a must when it comes to upgrades. Unfortunately, the mainboard fan is still tied to the part cooling fan circuit, but a minor modification allows for the mainboard fan to be tied into the hotend fan circuit.

Great product. Must get for ender 3 especially if you have multiple printers.

So where to start? F1st Layer has been an excellent company to work with. This product is by far one of the best items purchased from F1st Layer so far. It is extremely quiet! The biggest drawback was the install, if you purchased the BLTouch kit from F1st Layer you will need to swap the pins on the power cable for the BLTouch to match the pinout on the new silent board. Also F1st Layer includes Capricorn tubing and couplings in just about every package so dont worry about running out!

I bought this board and had some trouble with it originally. The support team was fantastic and helped me get the issue resolved quickly!

Edit: The customer support team at F1rst Layer is First Class as they reached out to attempt to help me troubleshoot my issues. While they were not able to resolve my issues (I am going from an ender 3 to an ender 5) they were extremely detailed and attempted to provide many help articles and even offered for me to reach out and speak with them directly on Facebook for more support. From whirring, buzzing, whistling and clicking to DEAD SILENCE - I mean you hear NOTHING AT ALL. Like a new father I was checking on my newborn constantly to see if it was still breathing kinda quiet. There are so many new features that are available as well. Print quality improved immensely and I am a total n00b to 3d printing. It was plug and play install on my Ender-3 - not a pro or V2. Install was easy and straight forward. The filament run out sensor stopped a print and waited for me to change out mid print and resumed exactly where it left off, Saved me 3 hours of reprint time the 3rd day after install. Only reason I put 4 stars on ease of install is the fans that came with it - the wires needed spliced and extended. YOU MUST INSTALL THIS IF YOU OWN A ENDER SERIES PRINTER - YOU WILL THANK ME! Wow I can’t believe the customer service they provide. I have a really old BLTouch that I thought wasn’t compatible to this board but I reached out and they walked me step by step almost immediately. The board really does what it says: quite AF prints! I can’t hear it at all it’s insane. Easy to install and easy to flash!

This board was easy to install, but I tried to do a PID tune since the board was going 10 - 15 degrees above that temperature that I put in and it failed about 15 times due to the temperature being to high on the hot end. I have changed the thermostat to ensure that it was not burnt out and the same thing happened. This is my second board from the same company. I wished that it would come ready to go after install. I put this board into and Ender 3 Pro and I am still having problem.

Out of thr box direct instal, could not get a single print, put original motherboard back in my printer. Be aware silent motherboard may need firmware update. Mine wouldnt accept updates. Very disappointed
