I have painful hip arthritis and my PT suggested an IFC system which uses a different frequency than TENs - IFC/IFT. This unit (while listed for in IFC/IFT searchers) has no text in the description for either. It also looks like a really cheap product with very thin documentation and only graphics for what each mode. Given the number of these units on Amazon, I imagine a Chinese cottage industry producing these devices with similar features. I didnt notice any improvement when using it.

This unit is a pleasure to own. It works as advertised, is well constructed and easy to use, and the cost is very reasonable. If you plan to purchase this unit, buy additional large pads at the same time because if you dont clean them with alcohol swabs they quickly lose adhesion. I had no success with the small pads. Highly recommended.

My wife uses the Auvon TENS and she is amazed with the relief she gets. At first she just tried one set of patches (2) on each side of the nerve around her beltline. She still had pain going down the side of her left leg so she attached two more patches on the upper part of her leg. Within minutes she was getting relief. She has since purchased her second unit just in case the first one gives out. (it hasnt, and its been 3 months) She wears the patches just about all day and night and turns the TENS off and on depending on pain level.

My physiatrist recommended one of these for ongoing use for L5 stenosis manifesting as inside arch burning after trying PT, massage, and acupuncture. I must say that I was really thrilled with how easy it is to use, how incredibly long it went before needing a charge (weeks!) and how well it works. Also, if you put the sticky pads back on their plastic sheets and inside the ziploc bag instead of exposing them to air on the sticky pad holder they last for months on clean skin. It gets a 4-star for pain not because it doesnt work, but because its kind of hard to find the right spots on my feet where the nerves seem really kind hard to re-locate. This really is a very cool little unit.

I stopped working out as Id get so sore for days afterwards. Started again...same thing. A friend recommended a TENS unit, so I bought this one. Worked out again, a couple hours later I was real sore in my legs/back/shoulder blades. If you dont read the directions, the interface can be a bit confusing (with changing modes from different pulses and stuff), but once I figured it out after reading the directions lol, I was very impressed with how many different options it gives you. My girlfriend has chronic neck pain and headaches and has tried everything. One night when she had neck pain, I told her she should use it. She basically stole it from me and now it lives in her night stand. Would highly recommend this, especially since you can buy extra pads once theyre not sticky anymore at low cost.

Well I love the product and the fact that it delivers powerful impulses to my muscles... The fact that it has terrible settings as far as the wavelengths of delivery. Really makes me feel that I can do better.. All I want us to consistent long wavelength of stimulation to the muscle and this one has all kinds of fancy settings that dont deliver that... It does pens and needles then massage then and abrupt shock to the muscles which is just too much... I prefer the old school. Kind that give you a long wave links consistently for as long as you use it in that session.

The AUVON Dual Channel TENS Unit did the job in an emergency situation of alleviating pain. However, the products switch is very cheap plastic. I don’t expect this to last very long. You definitely have to read the directions to operate and understand the home screen.

I suffer from chronic pain and decided to try a Tens unit to get some relief. Nice little unit...dual channel. Just make sure you educate yourself on pad placement if you are a new user.

This thing is adequate for my needs, but I really dont like the 60 minute automatic cutoff. I know what I need and for how long. I always need more than an hour, and restarting it several times a day is a pain. It would be great if the timer could be overridden. ETA: I wear the electrodes on my lower back, and Im 5 feet 3 inches tall. Whenever I stand up and am not thinking about it (which is most of the time), I step on the cable. The cable then comes apart from the electrodes. I have to reach around and reattach them blindly. Maybe include a shorter cable for shorter people?
