IMO this product is mislabeled. It is not a creamy oil or a cream. It is a lightweight lotion. It contains wonderful, skin-soothing, anti-irritating/anti-redness ingredients, but those with dry skin wont find it moisturizing enough. It absorbs completely and leaves zero sheen. This isnt a bad product, its just mislabeled. If youre looking for a fragrance-free creamy oil, Cerave makes one for eczema, but it doesnt have the greatest reviews.

It makes my baby skin soo soft

Works fine with my babys eczema. I keep it in my travel bag so I dont use it every day but he has no reactions to it. No scent, so good for sensitive skin. Not oily/greasy or hard to rub in.

# My Review This review is for Aveeno’s Baby Soothing Hydration Creamy Oil for Dry and Sensitive Skin, 5 Fl. Oz. As someone who’s had and continues to have extremely dry skin, irritations, rashes, eczema, and psoriasis, I’m always on the lookout for new creams, gels, Vaseline based products to help prevent and reduce the problem whatever it is. Therefore, I’m always curious to try new options to experience the benefits these’ll bring to my overall well-being. My doctor and dermatologist also recommended to use fragrance free, organic, free from chemicals type of solutions in order to minimize the reactions that are often triggered when I use certain types of products. So, when I saw this cream and even though it’s marketed for babies, I thought I’d give it a try! For what it’s worth, the Aveeno brand is Pediatrician and Dermatologist recommended. First of all, the cream comes in a tube that has a flip top lid and once opened, there’s a small sized hole for the cream to squeeze out of. It’s worth noting that there’s a tamper proof seal that should be removed before use. Needless to say, with the viscosity of the cream being similar to that of a lotion, it dispenses cleanly without much pressure. The cream is very light and once applied thins out over the skin - a small amount is sufficient enough to spread out evenly. As described, the cream has 100% pure oat oil that’s known to strengthen the skins moisture barrier, vitamin E which has antioxidant properties to improve the skin, and, dimethicone as a skin protectant. So far, the cream works as described! I was skeptical at first as I’ve tried all kinds of creams, moisturizers, and ointments that have been so-so; however, using this cream did provide some decent short-term relief. The oil-based formulation has been good for preventing dry, rough, scaly and itchy skin. It’s been gentle on the skin, moisturizes to hydrate & protect and isn’t sticky or tacky – it didn’t leave a greasy residue. Overall, this is a good type of cream from a well-known brand that helps combat dry skin by hydrating, moisturizing and protecting while making it easy to apply. A small amount goes along way and it feels just right on the skin. So far, I like it, but time will tell on its complete effectiveness …. Aveeno Soothing Hydration Creamy Oil lotion. Made with Oat Oil and Vitamin E. Paraben-, Phthalate-, Fragrance- and Steroid-Free. My skin has been extra dry lately due to the weather, heater, and air filter use. This lotion feels great on my dry skin! I can feel it instantly Absorbing and nourishing my skin - it doesn’t linger on surface. Very Moisturizing! Formula is a like a combination of cream and slight ointment feel (like Aquaphor), medium thickness, not sticky. The lotion lasts - I can feel a film of the lotion left in my hands after a quick hand washing. I find it More nourishing than other hand creams I’ve used. The added oil seems to make a difference! Made by trusted brand - I used Aveeno lotions for years for my kids eczema. Moisturing product, recommend!

I love Aveeno Baby products. Its all I use on my kids, and their regular products work well for adults too. This Creamy Oil absorbs well, hydrates, and doesnt feel heavy or greasy. It feels like a thick lotion, not like an oil. It is fragrance free and not irritating. It does not contain parabens or phthalates. It contains dimethicone 1.2%, which Ive found is key to keeping skin well moisturized and protected in the winter. At about $5, this is reasonably priced and worth it. Another great product from Aveeno!

It helps with eczema, I like that it has no fragrance, and it goes on very smooth and softens skin. Nothing else was all that effective with eczema. While I dont think this is a silver bullet for everyone, it did work better than I expected and had a measurable impact. I can suggest this as worth trying, though we all have different expectations on what effective is - but I thought it made a difference on dry skin. It is not greasy, and like i said, theres no scent and I like that because you can put on as much as you want and dont have a cloying scent follow you. Good baby oil!
