I purchased a Baval Hard Case for WD MyPassport several years ago. The case was thick, padded, and provided protection for the external hard drive. When I purchased a new WD MyPassport, I also repurchased the Baval Hard Case for the new drive. HOWEVER, unlike the older case, the new Baval Hard Case is not as thick. It does not have the same padding around the outer interior edges. The exterior part of the case feels and appears thinner than the original case. The NEW case clearly states that is was made in China. The original case did not have the Made in China tag. The NEW case shows a poor Chinese quality of workmanship from the original Baval Hard Case. I am not certain who the parent company of Baval is, but quality control has has taken a dive.

No wasted space. Perfect for your external hard drive. Nice amount of padding. I have not tested the durability, but it looks adequate.

This is an excellent case. My WD Elements 4TB fits with a short USB cable, a 3 ft USB cable, and 2 SanDisk USB flash drives. The zipper is smooth and seems sturdy.

Arrived with a piece gouged out of the side of the brand new case sent to me.

Nice case, fits other items and is keeping them from getting crushed.

If its going to be that big then I wish it would fit a second hard drive. Even just a slim one. Check the measurements to see if it will work for you.

Bought one of these with my last couple purchases of portable hard drives (WD 3TB Black My Passport Portable External Hard Drive - USB 3.0). I travel a lot for work, so I have one of these filled with movies and tv shows to help pass the time on the planes and in hotel rooms. Ive had this case for a little over 8 months and it was really convenient. The drive fit in there nicely, it had compartments for usb cables, and it made me contemplate further purchases for all my nick-knacks that I throw into my gadgets pouch in the backpack I regularly travel with. It brought a level of organization, the likes of which my backpack had never seen before. Twas glorious! (first amazon review, might as well spice it up a bit). That being said, it doesnt do the one thing I bought it for; Shock Resistance. I was handing my case off (3TB hard drive inside) to a co-worker so he could grab some movies for his trip back home, and we dropped it during the hand off; literally, no more than 3 feet since we were both rolling around in desk chairs during the hand off. Im fairly certain it was no where near reaching terminal velocity before hitting the ground in an anticlimactic fashion. I tell him not to worry thats why I bought the case! and he plugs the hard drive into his computer and the drive starts humming. Ive never heard that hard drive hum so loudly and my heart sank faster than the case hit the damn floor. Long and short, the drive is unrecognizable by Windows. Even tried it on an IOS and got the same error. Luckily, there are some places that can recover the data and is somewhat cheap, but this case is a huge let down. Other than being sleek looking and maintaining some semblance of order in terms of packing my bag, it is worthless. You have been warned.
