> 3 dayThis model had good ventilation for my Lovebird. The interior color is light which I liked and knew my bird would prefer over a dark color. There is a perch that easily screws on either side with two very small circles to put it through. However, I did not use the perch since we had 1,000 miles to travel, but instead secured my birds padded Happy Hut inside to give him more comfort and security. There are NO food or water containers included or places to apply them. Since my bird is small I used scotch tape to tape small food and water cups to the clear plastic on the side of the carrier which worked fine. Note: there is a smell from the plastic when the carrier is opened. I washed all plastic areas with antibacterial soap and allowed the carrier to air dry hanging from a clothes hanger. The smell was not completely gone so we used an ionizer for 20 minutes and then rewashed the carrier again with antibacterial soap & water, and allowed it to air dry on a hanger for two days. It was fine then and the smell seemed to be gone. Caution: There is a metal removable tray on the bottom which I did not feel comfortable with incase my bird fell if the car brakes had to be slammed on. So, I padded the tray with a few dish towels and taped them under the tray. Then I covered them with paper towels which worked fine and gave my bird some protection.

> 3 dayCage will collapse when larger zip is open. The perch cannot be tighten so it is very wobbly which made my bird quite car sick and distressed. Do not purchase this product. Not designed well.

Greater than one weekDoes what 0it 0is suppose to but birds seem extremely uncomfortable due to movement of perch since it is free floating and spins. Better to just have then on a leash instead honestly. The just cling to the side of the backpack and hold on for dear life.

> 3 dayThis is a well designed and constructed bird carrier. Easy assembly providing plenty of room for Quaker Parrot to move around and look out. Cleaning is easy with removable bottom tray. Very pleased with this purchase.

Greater than one weekLove this backpack and so does my conure, Emery! My sister-in-law had a destination wedding a state over and I have trust issues so instead of leaving my bird with someone to maybe take care of her, I was able to bring her with me to the wedding! I introduced Emery to the backpack over a week before the trip and gave her lots of treats and special treatment in and around the backpack so she really warmed up nicely to it. Obviously it is a bit small for normal bird life, but she was never really in there for too long. I really like that I was able to flip the cover down if the sun was hitting the backpack. And because the cover is light colored, it did not make it super dark inside the backpack so Emery could still enjoy some light without baking in direct sunlight. I cannot wait to take Emery with me to more places now that we have this super cute backpack!
