I NEVER write a review good or bad and I always research my purchase before following through with it. I felt compelled to share my experience. I read almost ever negative comment and I must say that my experience is the total opposite of what people are saying negatively about this little machine. I have a pickup truck and we live at the beach. My truck always has sand and dirt in it. I purchased the vacuum to help with getting some of the mess off of the rubber mats. The machine has worked above and beyond my expectations every time I use it. It clears the sand, picks up the dirt and dust without a problem. The battery lasts a long time for me. It’s easy to clean. It charges without a problem. I see no issue with the base and the charge going directly to the unit. It is sturdy and on top of it all, my wife likes it for the indoor stuff like picking up dirt after a dog knocks over one of her plants or vacuuming flour off of the kitchen floor. I really like this vacuum and would recommend it for what it is designed to do.

My old B&D hand vac was dying and I needed a replacement. This is much better than the one I had even when that one was new. I didnt realize how small this would be. I am not good at judging measurements. And I got it and thought, Oh this is going to be a loser. I was wrong! This has good suction and a couple of attachments. Ive had it about a month and havent had to recharge it, but I only use it about once a week. Just for quick pick ups. I really like this item. Although I often get confused about which side is the sucking side... Its so sleek. It comes with a stand that holds the attachments as well. Very well thought out design. If you are trying to pick up a lot of stuff, the collection area isnt large, but for quick stuff its fine. Very happy with this.

Bought to use as a bathroom vacuum for quick hair cleanups (post hair dry looks like a zoo). Works fine for hair, but not much suction. Awkward to use because it’s so small.

Angle of the suction hole in the attachment is a little odd for my application so the suction needs to be stronger. Would work well cleaning flat unobstructed surfaces.

The suction is extremely weak, the battery doesnt last anywhere near as long as advertised, maybe 4-5 minutes tops, and it is not convenient to use. Weve bought several BISSELL products over the years (two regular vacuums, and two carpet cleaners), which made us think to choose BISSELL again when looking for a handheld vacuum. Its very inconvenient that you cant just pick it up off a charger and use it, you have to manually unplug the little cord, and plug it back in when done, like you would an old phone. Last is you have to manually clean it out after every use. Its not like other products where you can just press a button, dump, and be done. You have to unscrew the end, then you can dump the contents, but most of what it sucks up seems to get mashed up against the mesh filter so you have to manually pick the pieces out, or separate the mesh filter and bang it on the edge of the trash can, or you wont get any suction when you try to use it next time. Very disappointed in this BISSELL product, will definitely consider other brands when our current full sized vacuum and carpet cleaner need replacing.

Four stars may be generous, but overall it is a good product. Main reason for buying this was to get rid of dog hair on my cloth seats in my car. It’s a brand new car so the dog has only been in it a few times, but there was still a bunch of hair. I got through my passenger seat & to get majority of the hair off, it probably took me a solid 10 minutes of vacuuming. Not all the hair was off once I gave up, but it was clean enough to tolerate. However, I didn’t make it much further past the passenger seat because the vacuum died very quickly. After running for 10 minutes it was already on the last bar of charge. I still think it’s a great product for stuff other than intense dog fur and it’s small enough to keep in the side of your door for easy access. Highly recommend for keeping in a car for little spills or something, but wouldn’t necessarily recommend if your sole purpose is to clean dog hair. A lint roller might be a better option at that point.

The suction power isnt that great, and the battery life is limited. It sits on the kitchen counter and works fine for crumbs, minor spills, etc. Thats what I wanted it for, and it fills the purpose.

This item was really great while it worked. After 10 months of use the battery bill no longer charge (still using the original cord and have tried others with no success). Its a bummer because it was a really handy vacuum but now its useless.
