> 24 hourThis is the first time I purchased one of these big company flagship machines. I prided myself on keeping my carpets clean weekly until I bought this machine. You see, Ive always purchased the budget machines and they would last me about a year or two with heavy use. When my last one broke I bought this steam machine. AND MY GOSH, two passes and the dirty water tank was still dark. I am very happy with this purchase!

> 24 hourI previously had a Hoover carpet cleaner and recently switched to this Bissell. First, it is about 35% wider, has a steam mode, has gallon fresh water tank, 2 brushes and handheld attachment. It works way better than expected, which is always a nice surprise, however I havent used attachment yet. Tip-Use hottest water from tap for best results.

> 24 hourThe steam does not work. I’m disappointed as this is the feature I was most looking forward to. In addition, there is no rinse feature so the soapy water residue stays on the carpet. I expected better.

> 24 hourI got this mainly to steam clean some large area rugs that I have. I was thinking about having them professionally cleaned, but now I can do it myself. This doesnt work on silk or delicate rugs, and the instruction manual says to check the manufacturers tag and testing for colorfastness before cleaning. What I found disappointing was that the hose and tool dont use steam, because I would also have liked to steam clean my couch and upholstered chairs. I want sure whether or not I could also use it on my tile floors, but after researching that, it seems like a bad idea. I probably should have considered a multi-surface model, but I do like the Hydrosteam feature and that cleaner can be used.

> 24 hourMy toddler poured all her cousin’s water based paints on the carpet to tried to use them to paint all over herself , other part of the carpet and the wall. It was a whole 12 oz of paint that was dumped out into the carpet. I freaked out and ended up ordering a bissell cross-wave during a sale. The stain were left on the carpet for over 3 weeks while waiting for the cleaner to arrive. It arrived and just as expected to be heavy for most regular wet and drive carpet cleaner due to a solid motor. I jumped right to work as soon as i got it. It was pretty simple to use. I had to pre wet the effected areas with hot water mixed with dish detergent and left alone for 30 mins to help moisten up dried paint. I then used the cleaner to clean it up. It took a few tries to clean most of the mess. On the last attempt, i added a cup of laundry bleach in with 4 gallon of hot water from sink, as well added in a cup of bissell’s cleaning solution. It did came out pretty clean for the most part. It took me over an hour to clean that whole bedroom. Even though, the heavy vacuum did left me with a sore arms and few calluses but i was happy with the result. Definitely recommend! Please put on your nice grippy pair of gloves and wear a pair of waterproof gloves over them when you use this cleaner. You should a good size cleaning brush to use on some of the stubborn mess as well!

> 24 hourThe previous owner of my house had dogs that had ALL the accidents on the carpet. The stains were bad! I wanted to try to get them up before spending the money to replace it so I gave this cleaner a shot. I am SO GLAD I did!!!!!!! The first picture was the first pass with the steam super clean setting on…… THE FIRST PASS!!!! I thought I was seeing things! This thing is amazing. I was worried because the carpet was matted down. This thing fluffed it right up and got all the yuck out. The only down side I can find with this machine is that it’s a little on the heavy side BUT…. I would be worried it wouldn’t last if it wasn’t so sturdy. It was super easy to put together. Directions were clear. THANK YOU BISSELL!!!! This machine was worth every penny!

> 24 hourPurchased this after reading a review online. I figured it would be cheaper than hiring a carpet service for two smaller rooms. Pros - cleaned some really bad dark spots and the rooms look 100% better. Used almost two tanks of solution per 10 x 12 room, so it would be take a fair amount of effort to try to clean a whole house. Also, in my opinionthe machine would need to be cleaned several times. Cons - no doubt my error, as there is a learning curve, but I didnt make enough passes to remove the solution from my carpets. Basically they took two days to dry completely. This is not the machines fault, I just needed to follow instructions better. I used another brand of eco-friendly cleaning solution, as Bissell has a fragrance, and I didnt want to have any lingering smell.

> 24 hourAfter spending 3hrs of cleaning pet pee and carpet stains, using all the Bissell detergents, carpet was soaked and still stinky. This machine barely has steam or suction to get detergent and water out. Honestly, it’s an excuse for the lazy housekeeper. Had to get the shop vac and scrub instead. Cheaper than buying this. $400 wasted.
