Im using the cable with ear-buds. The male to female extender provides the length of cable I need to listen to music comfortably, I experience no degradation in sound quality over my ear-buds, and the cable is light so it doesnt weigh down the ear-bud cord, making the ear-buds uncomfortable to wear. it seems little over priced, but best in quality. I use steel series Siberia V2 (gaming headphone), this wire extension is perfect fit. no drop in quality, left-right volume works perfectly. It was well packed and was delivered in 2 days.

This is a patch cord I use when playing the drums. It is used between ear buds and the mp3 or click track. Because the sheaths durable flexibility and both ends perfect snap-in stay characteristics, BlueRigger is the best I have used. Nice clean look as well.
