100% would recommend & buy again. I dont usually leave reviews, but in this case I felt my experience should be shared. I purchased a 4-pack of outlets and strangely, when I opened the box, one of the outlets had a piece of tape covering it with the word defective handwritten on it. Apparently I was sent a previously returned package that had included one of four outlets being defective. I contacted customer support and got immediate service via the companys online text assistant. I sent them a couple of pics and my order number and was immediately told I would receive a replacement outlet (as that was my preference vs a refund that was also offered). The replacement arrived just a few days later. I was only expecting a single outlet, but surprisingly two came instead, which I really appreciate! It feels like an excellent gesture of apologizing for the error (which I realize may have been Amazons fault) and showing me the company appreciates my extra time & effort to go through the RMA process. By the way, the (remaining) 3 original outlets functioned perfectly. All were easy to add to my smart home network and have functioned perfectly in the week+ since.

    Greater than one week

I’m changing my review. It was not easy to get this to hook up to the app . After many many attempts I finally got it to work and I love it . It works as it should .

I like how simple and easy it to use! All you do is download an app onto your smartphone and connect the plugs to them. Then you add timers and other features you want and that’s it. They work great!

I have purchased these in past, they had a feature where you could monitor energy usage by day by month etc. Great feature, because of this feature (better UI in app, friendlier more thorough than Kasa brand). I buy new ones and they have been removed. 1st pic ( see energy feature on bottom right 2nd pic shows how the stats look of the energy monitor feature 3rd pic. Shows this new updated model. Has no energy monitor feature Pic 4 and 5. Kasa Smart plugs. Still has energy feature just not as thorough as bnlnk app This energy monitor feature was great. No they took it away and still charge the same. Rip off. Choose Kasa Smart plugs now. They have energy usage feature though

I purchased these to add smart control to my Christmas lights in the house after I was tired of manually plugging and unplugging the lights every day. The included directions are a bit tricky to understand at first, but setup was a breeze once I was smart enough to figure it out. Integration into my Google Assistant and Google home was super simple and worked perfectly. The app has a lot of programming features, most of which I didnt use, but the basic timer function was perfect. I tried to play with some of the other settings, and they didnt quite work the way i intended (could be user error) but again, basic needs were met. Overall very good outlets for the price and very easy setup with lots of great features.

Now that Ive got them set up, these switches do exactly what I want. I have 3 devices I want switched on or off at the wall, and I always want to turn them all on or off at once. Both the BN-Link app and Alexa let me do exactly that, turn them all on or off from my phone with a single tap. I had a few minor issues connecting them initially. I couldnt detect any of them with Bluetooth, so I had to select them manually. The BN-Link app thought I had to switch my phone from my 5 Ghz network to my 2.4 Ghz network, but that wasnt actually necessary. Both are internally part of the same network, so it didnt matter that the switches were connecting via 2.4 Ghz. Alexa integration was super easy, but I ended up using the BN-Link app anyway. Id use Alexa if I wanted to use voice control, but I really wanted control from my phone, and the BN-Link app is friendlier for that. One of my 4 switches was defective, and wouldnt turn on. After some back and forth, BN-Link replaced it for free. No need to return all 4 just because one was bad. It took about a week to get a replacement, and the replacement works fine.

So I originally got this because I have roommates and we wanted to 1)know how many watts our different air conditioners, heaters, fans, exc used and 2) keep track of the expensive things like air conditioner/heater usage. Over time I started to use other features and I gotta say, this app control is extremely well done. For example not only can you group things together but you can do so and have them turn on or off depending on things like humidity and temperature or sunset and sunrise. You can set multiple on off schedules throughout the day and have them repeat or not. Has a countdown option which you can count down to either have the device turned on or off. I use that every night with my fan and usually just set it for an hour after I fall asleep to shut off. And these are just a few of the many options there are. It especially makes things worth it that dont have more modern integrated controls. Like my kitchen window fan. Its basic, all analog controls. But thats awesome because now I can control it with my phone and when I turn it back on via phone, it automatically turns on instead of having to also turn the fan on via another app or other electronic controls. So that is something to be aware of when purchasing. If you want it to control a device, make sure that whatever device you connect, you dont also have to go over there and push a button or reset the clock or whatever it is every time you decide to turn it off through these. I actually bought a cheaper fan without all that extra cuz I had these, so these can save you money on future purchases depending on whats important to you. Overall, I now got em everywhere and I love em. Being able to also say Hey Google, turn on the heater or turn on the light is pretty cool. These are all integrated with Google assistant, Alexa, or whatever else you use. You can also put the most common ones (or all if u want) that you use on the home screen of your phone for fast access to that particular outlet. I added pictures including some of the app controls. I really am genuinely impressed with the app. Its extremely well done giving you different controls and options that I honestly probably would have never thought of. If keeping track of your electric usage is a priority, I feel this is just as good for that as it is for all this other fancy stuff. It breaks it down pretty easy to read on one screen with current usage, voltage, day and month use, exc. You can also put caps on how much electric you want a particular outlet to be able to use throughout the month. And so much more. Despite all of these things the app is still really simple and easy to use. I will likely never use over half of the things on here but I definitely gotta give credit to the developers here, really great job guys! Wish all my smart device apps were this well done.

Im spoiled rotten because of these smart plugs. I wake up, tell alexa to turn on lamp 1 and start coffee maker. By the time I make it to the kitchen, coffee is made or made enough so I can use pause and serve. So darn handy. If youve never tried a smart plug, then you maybe missing out. These are quality plugs that are easy to set up. Works with alexa, so give these plugs a try. Worth the money. Great value.

These work great. Can’t figure out on/off schedule. There seems to only be scheduling on option. Instruction pamphlet was extremely difficult to read, so finally had to google you tube video to set up/pair with my smartphone.

I had an older mostly mechanical timer for a table lamp. I liked to have it scheduled to turn on and off especially if I wasnt home in the belief it might fool burglars someone was there. This is much more accurate as over time it doesnt seem to drift like the former dumb timer. Using the app was easier after having used it for a wall timer Id already installed and configured. I do not integrate these with Alexa or Google however so if thats your intent you will need to either experiment or look elsewhere for guidance. There is a lighted power button so it can be controlled manually as well. However, if used in a darkened room the backlight might be noticeable. In my case, its behind a table in the living room so partially hidden and not an issue.
