Like other reviewers I will not take a chance and use this with my birds! It absolutely smells like it has been treated with a chemical and it is so strong, fumes actually burns my eyes. I do not know what type of wood it is, so I cannot say whether or not it is cedar as some have mentioned.

My YNA ate the entire thing in a week. It is a really nice perch but he thought it was a toy. A really fun toy!!

I liked the perch except for the fact the one side screw came out of the product. My bird apparently hated it because she chewed it to pieces . I am having a hard time getting her to tell me why she didnt like it ? Maybe one day she will tell me lol

This item broke within 2 weeks the screws came off from inside the wood. I tried to glue them back in but it did not work.

It works perfect for the squirrels I am rehabilitating.

This platform is well made and attractive as well as very easy to install. My bird didn’t particularly care to stand on it and chewed it up instead. She is like a feathered wood chipper though so I think most other birds would probably use it appropriately. It’s a nice perch.
