> 24 hour(Before today) My favorite travel bag has always been my roll-on computer/luggage tote. This LARGE, roomy, and convertible 40L travel backpack is my NEW best travel buddy. I prefer carrying a backpack and occasionally my smallest rolling hard- or soft- side luggage. When I get to the airport I mount the backpack to the rolling luggage and I’m hands-free (or at least one-hand’s free!). The problem I have sometimes is if I take an overnight bag AND a backpack it MAY not be enough or I have to pack too heavy in each bag. This 40L TSA approved bag makes up for the lack of space in a typical laptop bag and adds UTILITY in the form of one pocket that doubles for storing 2 -3 days of clothing. The bag even comes with two inner soft cases that hold other underwear, socks, and personal item accessories. A “plus” for me is the elastic luggage-handle friendly loop that provides that one-hand free benefit. Well-made with plenty of outer and inner pockets, the essential canteen/water bottle mesh pocket and ballistic-like fabric. I’m ready to BRAVE air travel once again.

> 24 hourThis thing looks nice, and appears to be very well made. I like the fact that the zipper on the pouch for the laptop has a spot for you to put a lock on it to keep it a bit more secure. Overall I am happy with the backpack and would recommend it. I will update this review if there are any longevity issues with it.

> 24 hourI ordered this backpack to carry my large laptop and also to use as a carry-on bag. I really like the pocket designs and the packing cubes. However, after using for a few months, the buckle snapped while on work travel, which is disappointing. Id hoped for longer use.

> 24 hourOverall, this is a great bag for travel... either as a carry-on, or a weekender bag. I double-checked with a couple of the discount airlines I often travel with, and the dimensions of this travel backpack are just below the maximum permissible size! If you dont over-stuff it, its guaranteed to fit in the overhead compartment, and- modestly-packed, will slide right under the seat. Surprisingly, the main compartment is practically cavernous! There is plenty of room to neatly pack enough clothing for a 3-day, weekend getaway! And the compartment even has straps- to keep your neatly folded clothing from becoming a wrinkled-up mess! But wait! Theres More! A second, full-length pocket sits atop the main compartment, and it includes two nesting bags for organizing smaller items. AND theres a half-sized zipper pocket, atop the second pocket! Plus, there are sewn-in pockets, within the pockets! (Now, you see why I mentioned being careful not to over-stuff the bag. *wink*) As if that werent enough... behind the main compartment is... (wait for it)... yet another, full-length compartment- nicely padded- for storing your laptop PC and documents. The manufacturer says you can get up to a 17-inch laptop in there... and you can! This amazing travel backpack sports handles on the long side, and on the top- to pick it up and carry, like an attache case. It also has a webbed pocket on the side, to carry your water bottle (an absolute given, for any decent backpack). Flip the backpack over, and you find the shoulder straps- which are padded (a little too lightly, for my tastes)- and feature a breathable material. The back of the bag, itself, is also padded at the upper and lower portions (but not in the middle?), featuring the same breathable materials- and includes a strap to allow you to slide the backpack over the pull handle of a larger, wheeled bag. The materials this backpack are made of, seem sturdy- and of good quality. Its nicely finished, and looks durable, The inner linings, and the padding, are equally nice. The zippers appear sturdy, the stitching around them is clean- no snag points, and the pull-tabs on all of the zippers are decently-sized... easy to grab. Another thing about those zipper pull-tabs: They have holes in them, allowing the use of a TSA-approved lock, to better secure your valuables. This is a well-thought out travel bag, one I think will be very useful. In fact, it offers enough storage space, that its probably going to be my go to bag, from now on.

> 24 hourThis bag was larger than I expected. It fit enough for a two night stay away and still had plenty of room for an extra pair of shoes. I didn’t fly with this bag, but I imagine it would be a great way to avoid checking a bag for a quick trip. The straps inside to hold down your clothes is fantastic, and like a suitcase, to prevent things from shifting or falling out. It even comes with packing cubes to help you keep things organized and neat. Pockets aplenty. I wouldn’t be able to let my kids use this as a school backpack, just because of the way it opens. But it’s perfect for short trips if you’re a light packer.

> 24 hourThis is a large backpack that will meet the requirements for many airlines as a carry-on. The pack is made of woven nylon in a tight weave. It has thick padding at the top and bottom of the back and padded shoulder straps but no hip straps. The bottom of the pack is reinforced with nylon in a thicker weave. The pack has a 1.5” wide nylon strap across the back in the middle. The back compartment is padded on both sides and has a laptop sleeve that will accommodate laptops up to 12” wide and 20” long. This compartment has a zipper that runs all the way to the bottom on both sides, allowing you to lay the compartment out flat. The main compartment measures 20”x13.5”x4”. It has criss-crossed diagonal elastic straps that clip in the middle for holding luggage steady. There are also 3 zippered mesh pockets on one side of this compartment. The zipper of this compartment opens on the top, bottom, and side, letting you open this compartment up like a suitcase. There is an additional full length compartment (13”x20”x1”) beyond this with several small organizer pockets for a phone, calculator or pens. A fourth compartment forms a 9.5”x9” pocket on the outside. This compartment also has 2 organizer pockets inside. A fifth compartment forms an 8.5”x6.5” pocket on the previous compartment. The backpack has 2 water bottle or umbrella pockets, one on each side. There are padded carrying handles on the top and side. Also included with the pack are 2 packing cubes, one measuring 13”x9”x2.5” and the other 11.5”x7”x1.5”. Each of the cubes has a mesh portion on the top enabling you to see what is in them. I like the roomy capacity of this pack—you can certainly fit a lot in it. But I wish it had hip straps. If you’re going without wheels, you will probably be carrying this pack some distance on your back. A hip strap would really be useful then. The pack seems sturdy, but mine had some loose threads sewn in the seam on the outside, showing a lack of care in finishing the product. Overall, this pack can hold a lot and will meet carry-on requirements for most airlines as long as it is not overstuffed.
