> 3 dayIve been looking for the right laptop stand for some time. Most of the other stands I looked at would only elevate the back or the whole of the laptop about 6 or 8 inches. This one I have set at about 14 inches, and I can still type! (It will go further than that, but if its straight up, one cannot tilt the platform back much at all before the stand WILL tip. Thats plain physics and not a fault of design.) I can have it down a little further, with the platform tilted back a bit more, for a more even typing surface, or I can have it straight up for viewing. Either way or in between, it elevates my laptop for more comfortable use. The hinged areas where it moves are very stiff, which is a good thing. I have no worries about it falling down. The two lips to hold your laptop are deep enough for my chunky old Thinkpad W520 (circa 2011--sue me; Im in love with its keyboard). The stand is sturdy and solid. Its a nice matte, machined-aluminum looking finish. I love the clean lines! The logo is not as prominent as I was afraid it might be. It almost disappears. (See the last photo for how it looks most of the time.) Only at certain angles is the logo more visible. If I had to choose a con, I would say that this could use more holes for ventilation, to keep ones laptop cool. Ive not experienced any overheating in the short time Ive had it, but its something to watch for. This is a great purchase for me and I wish I had found it years ago!

> 3 dayIve been working from home, like so many of us, for several months at the time of this review and the laptop that my office provided was giving me a literal pain in the neck. Hunching over the keyboard and looking down at the screen was not doing me any favors. This laptop stand is wonderful - incredibly sturdy and big enough to support the large laptop Im using. Its easy to move the stand to the height that you need, and it actually stays put once you put the laptop on it, which was a huge relief for me.

> 3 dayIm very impressed with this product as it is very sturdy. So sturdy, it takes a bit of effort to adjust it, but once in the right spot, it doesnt waffle around. Highly recommended.

Greater than one weekI have a two external monitor setup in my office and wanted a laptop stand for my late 2016 MacBook Pro that would allow me to use my laptop as a third monitor. This laptop stand works perfectly for my needs. It holds the computer at a good angle, such that it’s easy to see, and if necessary, I still have easy access to type on the attached keyboard. The metal frame looks really nice and is complementary to Apple products. It’s well constructed and I can see it lasting a long time. All in all, if you need a laptop stand, this is a good choice.

06-04-2025This is pretty nice for the price. As a test - it actually held up my old 2015 ROG laptop and those things are HEAVY. Your new laptop isnt going anywhere on this thing. I dont know how long those tension areas will last, but right now they are very very strong. The BOYATA logo on the stand is a bit cringe but you cant beat the price.

> 3 dayThis is a very sturdy stand. Some people might have a problem with opening and closing it, that is not a one-hand operation. It is pretty tight. Which I suppose is one of the keys to being sturdy. Set it as you want it, and it will stay there unless you REALLY want it to move!
