Greater than one weekComes in a plastic jar with a barely glued on seal, product is already in a mesh bag, no bags needed to use. Keeps phosphate in check but does not lower nitrates. I have a small 20g reef tank with only a hang on back CPR BAK PAK skimmer and I hid the bag along with my heater in the return section of my skimmer.

> 3 dayThis is one of the best carbon medusa I have ever used. Filters excess nutrients out of your aquarium water fast and efficiently. It helps keep my water crystal clear and keeps my corals and fish happy. Change it out every three months or sooner if you have a heavy bio load.
