> 3 dayThis little puck has a fast processor, which leads to easy installation and quick boot up for the user. It is installed on a 2019 Honda CR-V with basic audio head unit/touchscreen and wired CarPlay, paired with an iPhone 13. As with a similar unit I have on my own Honda vehicle, a cold start will produce an initial boot up screen, then CarPlay appears. A warm start—though I haven’t yet had enough experience with it to know how to define that, but certainly after turning off the engine for some short interval—skips the boot up screen and takes you back into CarPlay. There is no perceptible difference between wired CarPlay and wireless CarPlay through this device…except you don’t have to plug the phone in. I recommend leaving a USB cable in the vehicle, because of course your phone battery will drain while connected to this device; also, it pairs to one phone only.
