> 24 hourI use this infrequently, so I appreciate the fact that it has not rusted while in my very humid garage. How they do this without oil is unknown to me, but appreciated. I love the finish I get by rubbing out shellac with this steel wool--a very pleasing satin finish.

> 24 hourWorks well with few metal filings falling off as you buff. I like the roll, so I can cut off what I need.

> 24 hourThis is the finest (literally and figuratively) steel wool I have ever used. Its a bit more expensive, but well worth the added cost. Ill never use any other kind for woodworking.

> 24 hourAs an antiques restorer I find this is the only steel wool to use. No worries about the residual oil that general-purpose steel wool contains. More reliable success with the following finishing steps.

> 24 hourThis is not your average hardware store steel wool. This is the mac daddy and is super even and consistent. I use the Lowes stuff if I want to knock the rust off of a pair of garden shears or something. Im an intermediate turner, and have done flat work for about 40 years. For my small wood turnings and boxes and such, I use this for the final stages of padding on shellac, or knocking back the nubs on a poly finish. No silicone in it so you can apply finish after use. Love it. Never in my life thought Id be giving this kind of rating over something as mundane as steel wool. :-)
