> 3 dayA real live saver true and true - hopefully its never officially put to THE test. Being a first time Corvette Stingray owner I had no idea that finding a booster seat that not only fit the seat but was safe would be so difficult. After about 10 trips using it I can say its great, I do need to help my 7 year old son get strapped in properly but IMO thats to be expected. The fit and finish appear to be excellent, I havent noticed any damage done to my seat although I plan to put something underneath just to be safe - likely the nonslip material used to line shelves and drawers. One minor frustration with it (in the grand scheme VERY minor) is the difficulty in blowing it up - the air is quick to escape as you tighten the nozzle - I had to keep blowing as I twisted the locking cap. I only drive the car on nice days and I only have my son 50% of the time so I could see it being a bigger issue if I had to deflate/refill it often as some will find the portability of this to be the real reason to buy as its VERY portable and comes with a very nice carrying bag. ***I do not get compensated for my wonderful reviews***

> 3 dayWe bought this for a trip that included limo service to/from the airport, a couple flights, and a rental car while we were there and this was the perfect travel booster seat solution. Just a few quick breaths and we had it ready for the limo ride, quick open of the valve and rolled up into our carry-on bag, then blew it up again to use the whole time in the rental car, then again just as easily back into our carry-on for easy access and quick use again for the limo ride home. No complaints from the seats occupant although I had read some felt like they were slipping off, etc, we didnt see that issue with our 8 year old. I would strongly recommend this as a travel solution for kids needing booster seats. Keep in mind booster seats are not permitted for use on planes unless they have been FAA approved so again, something like this that stores quickly, compactly, and easily into a carry-on or suitcase is likely to be the easiest solution.

> 3 dayThis is our third Bubble Bum. We had to retire one early because a kid thought it was brilliant to poke some holes in it. The Bubble Bums are very portable, wide enough to fit the kids, but a little narrower than the super wide plastic boosters, which is a big deal for us since on some days we sit three across in two rows of our van (total of six kids in back), and no one feels like they are being unduly squeezed like we saw with the chunky seats. They inflate relatively easy with one exception (talked about below). The kids all agree they are also more comfortable than the traditional plastic booster seats. Our five year old can buckle himself with this booster, including the recommended looping through the red guides/supports/whatever you want to call them on the sides. Overall, we are happier with these than the umpteen boosters we have tried over the years. Now for the down side. First off, when inflating, there isnt a one way valve, so you have to keep blowing in the silly thing while you close the valve, otherwise it deflates when you remove your mouth. That is a huge drawback, especially if you plan on deflating and re-inflating them all the time for the advertised portability. It does allow for easy deflation, but when inflated, they dont take up that much more space. They should have come up with a different plan so you can take your mouth off and not have the thing deflate. Second thing we noticed is that the foam on the underside of the cover degraded in just two years. It starts to come apart as a powder. It is not hugely noticeable, since I only saw it when I took apart the one with holes in it, but I would expect a longer lasting foam. Third thing is an annoyance. We bought the newest one at the end of October, 2021. I looked at the manufacturing date on the new one and it reads July 8th, 2019. Great. I just got a new product that has been sitting around for 2 years and 4 months. With something they tell me should only be replaced after 4 years of use, I am wondering what 2+ years in storage has done to it already...and under what conditions it was stored. Hopefully mine was just a box temporarily misplaced and most people are receiving fresh inventory, but I was not thrilled at all to receive something so stale. So, overall, we are happy with it, but those few drawbacks make it an okay product, kind of short of the excellence I was hoping for. Short of a new, better product out there, we would probably buy another one, not because they are so great, but because nothing else seems to shine as better.

> 3 dayI was against this purchase for my kids. I said it would be too wobbly. Needless to say my wife ordered and kids (also girls) love the thing. It fits the bill as fitting between two carseats in the back. I still say its not safe because the kid in the middle gets their head smashed by the outside of the carseat in an accident. But if you have a lot of kids, you can spare a few right? Just kidding moms! There are times when you need this kind of seat and it works because it raises the kid off the seat bottom so the seat belt fits. It would be best of course to leave them in the carseat with a 5pt. harness and padded sides (britax of course) as long as you can. This would also be a good travel seat because you can deflate it. Which reminds me, if you bring this thing on an airplane, a trip up the mountains, or in a hot car hear in the south, be sure to check to see that this thing is not going to pop. I dont have any experience with this particular seat popping but I do know that the fixed volume could be a problem. One suggestion is to have it filled with nitrogen at your local tire shop or car dealer (they love to sell the stuff at an incredible mark-up) but it really would help in the heat expansion problem because of the lack of moisture. As soon as mine pops, I will update this review and tell my wife I told you so.

Greater than one weekIt slides around in the car which makes it less secure when my kiddo is in it. I love that it’s small and easy to install but I question the safety when it slips on leather seats.

> 3 dayIve had several of these boosters and cannot say enough good things about the customer service of this company! I bought my first bubble bum from amazon. Due to (minor) crashes I have needed to replace it twice and both times bubble bum helped me get either a new inflatable bladder or a new seat (depending on their recommendation) right away. They even offered me a replacement booster for the cost of shipping. Thanks to Fintan (and the rest of the bubble bum team) my new bubble bum is ready for a rider. It has positioned the seat belt great on both children I have tried it with and is easy to infate and deflate. I find shoulder belt adjusters on backless boosters generally annoying but the one of the bubble bum works pretty well. The kids love riding in this booster and actually asked to use it for a several hour trip to the beach rather than their regular boosters.

Greater than one weekI purchased this as a travel booster seat for my 7 yr old daughter to use in a rental car at Disney. It was easy to roll up in the pouch provided and fit right into her backpack. When we went to the car, it took me under a minute to blow up and install. The red hooks on both sides secured nicely on the male and female ends of the seatbelts. The seat stayed inflated the entire time (10 days) and uninstalled just as quickly, rolling up and going back into her backpack. Now that we own it, we will keep it easily accessible as a spare for any family who wants to take her somewhere to use rather than her bulky Graco seats currently in our cars.

Greater than one weekI like this booster as a travel booster. It is compact and easy to transport, inflate and deflate. It is very lightweight and my 6 yo likes to carry it with her. It is comfortable under her. I think it would also make a perfect car-pooling booster as it is so easy to slip in a backpack and to learn to use. I would not recommend this as an everyday booster though, or maybe just for older kids who already ride a backless booster, because the should strap moves too easily. If the kid moves in the seat (and which kid does not ?), for instance leans forward or to the side, the shoulder strap becomes displaced (there is no way to lock the position) and does not come back into place (like it would do in a high back booster). As a result, the belt is still correctly positioned on the lap but not on the shoulder, and comes too close to her neck., and I end up readjusting it or nagging my child not to squirm so much - which is unpleasant for everybody. Of course it comes without side impact protection, so again, OK if you kid is already big enough to ride a backless booster, but as for me as long as they can fit a high back booster this is what they will ride on the daily. Attractive fabric pattern.

> 3 dayThis was recommended by our pediatrician as a solution for seating our kids three-across in the car. We have it next to a standard Graco booster and a Diono Radian car seat in a Dodge Journey. My daughters take turns riding in it. Oldest is almost 9 and weighs about 70lbs. Her butt fits in this booster, but I wouldn’t buy it for a child any heavier than she is. Normally I encourage my 6yo to sit in it since there other booster is wider. I like that it can be deflated and packed away for vacations, or even to squeeze into a backpack if the child is going to be riding home with someone else. It would be nice if there was a way to inflate the seat without using your mouth. That would make it easier and more sanitary for grandma to inflate after the child carries it to school.
