Greater than one weekI use this booster with a 7 and 9 year old in a Porsche 911. With it, the 7 year old goes in the back and the 9 year old can go in the front (with the airbag disabled and the seat all the way back). Installation is fiddly, theres no doubt about it. There are three clips: one on either side of the booster and one attached to an adjustable strap for the shoulder belt. All of them should be used to maximize safety. The booster seat clip nearest the boor pillar can be left attached to the seatbelt, as can the shoulder belt clip. The booster seat clip nearest the seatbelt buckle must be inserted into the belt each time the seatbelt is fastened and consequently must be undone each time the seatbelt is unfastened. For an adult, this is fiddly. For my children, it is impossible so far, so they need my assistance to buckle unbuckle (which could be considered a good thing.) The adjustable strap for the shoulder belt clip must be adjusted to ensure that the shoulder belt hits the shoulder area so that the child cannot slip under/out of the shoulder belt in the event of an impact. I have not had occasion to use the portable nature of the seat, but it is nice to know that I can have it with me at all times in the car and not have it take up valuable space.

Greater than one weekI had my doubts initially but decided to order this for a trip with our five year old. I’m so glad I did! It worked great and was super convenient. It collapses quickly and is light so I carried it in my carry-on bag and then was able to quickly inflate while waiting for our ride share. It positioned my child appropriately for the seat belt and I was especially impressed with the shoulder strap positioning, which is not even a feature on many normal backless boosters. It was so helpful to not have to worry about ordering and waiting for a car with car seats/boosters.

> 3 dayBought this for my grandkids and the issue I have is it slides out from under them as we are traveling. I don’t feel it is as secure as a regular seat. I love the size of it and makes it easy to get multiple seats in the car but if it keeps sliding I don’t believe it is as safe as other seats.

> 3 dayWe used this for quick Uber rides on vacation and it was amazing! Easy to set up and comfortable (from what I’ve heard) It is small enough to pack in a carry on bag as well and the stretch bag for packing is also a plus!

> 3 dayUPDATE (4-STAR REVIEW): With a vacation and a rental car planned, we needed a portable booster seat, so this time I ordered two other different travel-friendly booster seats from Amazon. We required that a travel booster seat be lightweight, take up little space in our luggage, be accepted by our daughter (now age 8), and most-importantly, safe. The other two booster seats arrived and unearthed the previously dreaded BubbleBum, and let her have her choice by sitting on each in our car at home. Given the three choices, she chose the BubbleBum. We used it in the rental car during our Spring Break 2017 vacation, and she used it, no problem. So, Ive updated my review from 2-stars to 4-stars to reflect our success. My daughter would probably still prefer the seat have more of a tapered edge on the front (under her legs), so she didnt feel like she was sitting on a bubble (no pun intended), but it worked sufficiently for its purpose. I did have to check on her to make sure she was sitting upright and to the back of the seat, or else her safety would be compromised, and she needed help getting buckled-in each time, but that just took 3-minutes. Its not perhaps the most ideal item, but when traveling, you sometimes have to make due, and thats what this is. I would not recommend this for longterm use, and neither does the manufacturer. I would recommend this for short-term use while traveling. PREVIOUS, 2-STAR REVIEW: This is a great idea, and I really wanted it to be a success for my family, but it didnt work for my 7-y.o. The seat is too small to comfortably sit on for any length of time, and is much like trying to sit on a balloon. My daughter is not a big child and is actually on the petite side and it doesnt give sufficient seating area for comfort. It would be better if it was made big enough to cover a car seat more, because when inflated it was only about 12x14, or so. Additionally, she found a way to flip it up behind her and not sit on it, and Id be driving down the freeway and glance over my shoulder to find her in an unsafe position on the seat of the car, rather than the inflatable booster seat; not good. Also, without arm rests, I kept finding my daughter sitting on it in creative ways, such as turned sideways or with it up behind her back. In short, she hated it.

20-11-2024We really like our booster seat, but it is a bit big to travel with. In fact, every time we went to the airport, they made us try and stuff it through the x-ray machine. We would tell the TSA person that the last time or last two times, it got stuck, but they were persistent. And of course, it got stuck again. We decided that we needed an alternative for travel. After research, there are two decent options: the Trunki/Boostapak, which also functions as a backpack and is made of hard plastic, and the inflatable BubbleBum. Both are considered safe and include an adjustable belt positioning strap. The BubbleBum, however, is more practical for long car rides compared to the Trunki since the BubbleBum is naturally more comfortable (inflatable cushion vs. hard plastic). So, if you plan to fly and then travel in a car for a bit, this is your only option. Which is fine because this product is awesome. In fact, we purchased another one for the other car just because it is so convenient. If your child has a play date but needs to bring a car seat, or if you find that you have to suddenly transport one of your childs friends in your car, you are ready. If you need a third booster in between two larger car seats, this one will work. It is easy to use, my child--who can sometimes struggle with securing a seat belt--has no difficulties putting this one on. Additionally, it literally takes about 15 seconds to take it out of the bag, inflate it, and secure the positioning strap on the seat belt. If there is one con, it is just that you will have to check to make sure your child put the safety belt through BOTH red loops (pictured) on each side. Since I generally install the seat first, securing the positioning strap on the safety belt, I slip the safety belt into the red loop so that my child will just have to worry about positioning the strap and then buckling in on the other side, and slipping the safety belt into the other red loop. Thanks to all the other reviewers for writing such detailed reviews as it convinced me to purchase the first one. Hopefully, you likewise found this review helpful.

> 3 dayThis is perfect for having a few extras in my backseat for when we bring a friend or two home from kindergarten. Easy to inflate, yet helps boost 5 and 6 year olds to safe riding heights.

> 3 dayI was against this purchase for my kids. I said it would be too wobbly. Needless to say my wife ordered and kids (also girls) love the thing. It fits the bill as fitting between two carseats in the back. I still say its not safe because the kid in the middle gets their head smashed by the outside of the carseat in an accident. But if you have a lot of kids, you can spare a few right? Just kidding moms! There are times when you need this kind of seat and it works because it raises the kid off the seat bottom so the seat belt fits. It would be best of course to leave them in the carseat with a 5pt. harness and padded sides (britax of course) as long as you can. This would also be a good travel seat because you can deflate it. Which reminds me, if you bring this thing on an airplane, a trip up the mountains, or in a hot car hear in the south, be sure to check to see that this thing is not going to pop. I dont have any experience with this particular seat popping but I do know that the fixed volume could be a problem. One suggestion is to have it filled with nitrogen at your local tire shop or car dealer (they love to sell the stuff at an incredible mark-up) but it really would help in the heat expansion problem because of the lack of moisture. As soon as mine pops, I will update this review and tell my wife I told you so.
