Bucilla Sparkle Snowflake Ornament Kit, 6 Count

This kit is so cute. We have not made it yet but we are thrilled to have it. The item as exactly as described and it was shipped quickly.

Havent made them yet, but I am excited to. Ive made something like it before and really enjoyed it.

Its like they went out of their way to make these ornaments difficult to make. So many illogical and unnecessary steps. Plus the printed patterns dont actually match the pictures in many cases. I would not make these again nor advise anyone else to send so much time for so little return. PS I am an excellent seamstress. These are just a pain

After doing 4 Bucilla stockings which were easy and fun to do; this stocking was quite difficult

This was my first ornaments crafting bucilla kit and my first embroidery and sequence use. I am so glad I chose a simple color scheme to start. I got myself some helpful tools to remain organized such as an 8 pocket bead holder, floss organizer, and a piece of scrap felt for holding my needles. The instructions leave a lot to be improved upon but eventually I was able to muddle through and piece things together. Even this very basic simple schemed snowflake kit is not beginner friendly, thankfully I have done other crafting stitch work that helped me get through this. The directions are “embroider, sequence, appliqué” so if you don’t already have experience and know when to skip a space, how to hide your stitches, etc… then this could quickly become very overwhelming. These six snowflakes took me over a week to complete only working on them in the evenings and I have a bit of extra floss, sequence, and beads left over. This is extremely important because beads can accidentally be spilled and lost and the floss is easily broken and knots up so I appreciated the extra materials. Wish list: have all directions in English on the same page vs front and back of multiple pages and multiple languages. This next one is a giant wish to have QR codes that would take users to demo videos, guides, online instructions specific to the decoration being assembled. I am getting ready to start the 12 days of Christmas decorations next.

I have not done this type of craft work in 30 years. I found the felt to be easy to work with. The design fun. The end product very cute and will be making several more of these for gifts. The only issue that I had was I felt the directions were not always clear. I have already ordered several more of these and will be making stockings. Lots of fun!!
